How the heck do you kill these Harpy things....
Azarr
Playing Nightfall. Level 7...have 2 quests that involve Harpies.
Have tried killing these things with a lvl 7 warrior, Dervish, Ranger and Elementalist. Have had absolutely no luck. The keep healing themselves all the time and can't kill more that one of them before I have 45 to 60 vitae.
I don't have good weapons or the best armor. Just seems impossible to kill these things. Have 2 heroes in group..along with either another healer or damage dealer henchman. Seems to make no difference.
I could come back later but only have one other quest to complete bedises these 2.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

take out the healer first maybe that'll help
just focus your entire group's fire on the healer

i don't think he has meteor shower, i think [meteor] should work but [immolate] is good too for some pressure
graverobber2
kill the healer first (like the ones above me already said) and take a healer with you (so you can stay alive longer)
zayphr
the skree hatchlings and griffins are the healers (in case you didn't already know) good luck

Rift
Likes most things in PvE, careful pulling usually does the trick.
Flag your heroes and henchmen, equip a bow you've hopefully found on a ground, and pull one group at a time. Learn where the 'pop-ups' occur to avoid having to kill many healers at once.

pumpkin pie
take out the griffon thing first
you can totally avoid that group if you want.
also if you are doing the harpies quest, finding rings of somekind, you have to pull them apart for fast and easy kill.

Jetdoc
Switch one of your heroes' secondaries to Mesmer, and have them equip Backfire (and put as many points in Domination Magic as you can). Before you start the battle, have them cast it on the Skree Griffon.
You'll take them down in no time.

Burn them.
It works fin for me with everything but those stupid destroyers.
I weak, blind and crack those in revenge for not being vulnerable to burning.

Well, seeing as you are using a Warrior, Derv, Ele and Ranger in four man areas, you might want to try switching one out for a monk. Monks heal you and your party, and with one of those, you should be able to take on those nasty harpies

Thanks for all your replies. It is the hatchlings that I have a problem with. They heal so much that if there are 2-3 of them they just won't die. I usually have myself (damage dealer), hero fighter, hero monk and henchman ritualist in my group.
I am fairly new and have all the areas except EotN.
I will try some of the suggestions and see what happens. Thanks again.

Another suggestion would be to put this task on hold for a while, complete some other quests, level up some more, and come back later. The higher lever you and your heroes are, the easier it is to kill stuff!

2-3 monks in a group = over aggro. Pull one group at a time.

Pull one grp at a time, and kill healers first. Easily doable with H/H.

Yeah, if you're facing 2-3 hatchlings at a time, you are aggro'ing too many groups at the same time. The only quest that I can think of where there are multiple hatchlings in the same area is the one where you have to find the ring ("Diamond in the Rough," or something like that?). If that's what you're having trouble with, they are in four separate groups. Start on one side, use a longbow, pull, kill, move to next, pull, kill, etc.
If I recall, sometimes the middle two groups get stuck together and don't like to separate. If that happens, there will be two hatchlings, hard to kill at the same time at lvl 7. If things start to go bad, there's a rock in the area where your casters can hide - since most of the harpies' damage comes from projectiles.
Also, someone above said it, there is no rit henchman on the island (or anywhere in nightfall), so check that last spot in your party. You may need more damage output to spike down the hatchlings quickly. One healer should be sufficient.
Good luck.
