GuildWars Prophecies for less than 10$

I ask myself what the hell? In my country (Romania O.O), a Magazine is offering GuildWars Prophecies(+ Broken Sword-The Sleeping Dragon) for about 11 $. There will me about a few thousands magazine with the game(The box+manuals+posters+CD and the code) on the market from tomorow. And they say in the next months they will offer GW Factions too. Why is ANET doing that? Is GW really dieing? Do we need a bunchload of newbs? What's the purpose of all this?...

I don't think Arena Net or PlayNC controls the prices, I managed to buy a Nightfall collector's edition for Є9,99 while the original/normal Nightfall is still Є19,99 (stores are dumb like that).

And as it's been already mentioned, Anet doesnt control the prices (remember, EoTN was accessible for $10 in Target stores not long ago)

Nah, GW isn't "dying." I think the word's just spread that GW1 won't be having any new campaigns coming, so game stores are by default, assuming that it's an old game with no hope of revival, but the opposite is true. I think Anet is currently trying to steer away from bringing in new players and toward helping veteran players earn their achievements in time for GW2 so more of them will buy it.

So the prices are probably dropping ONLY because Anet announced that GW1 is finished (when it comes to new campaigns), NOT because Anet's completely given up on GW1 (although it seems like they have at times).

Obviously to get more customers for GW2,I just hope they finally release some info.
