When Guild Wars first came out, I played the original one for a year or so, then I quit due to school reasons and such. Now I have aquired a laptop which I am getting at the end of the summer, a Dell XPS M1530, good to play Guild Wars at full res and everything without the lag. I also have about 100 bucks in my posession, I still have my original GW acount too, with my level 20 ele/r and 20 n/mo 55 farmer. With that 100 bucks I decided to buy Nightfall, Factions, and EotN. EotN from Gamestop due to the 15 dollar price drop and it is only 15 bucks now, Nightfall and Factions from Best Buy for 40 and 30 bucks respectively, now I extremely liked Guild Wars, better then WoW, which I played for 2 years due to the quick action, Now im still not a 100 percent sure buying these products will halp me satisfy my gaming needs, I still play other games on my PC such as World in Conflict, Warcraft III, Assasin's Creed, Civ 4, Company of Heroes, and Oblivion, but I need another lasting ORPG, and I'm thinking about expanding my horizons in Guild Wars by buying all the products. Now, I have some questions to ask.

If I buy all 3 products and register them to my old account, how many Character slots will I have?

And finally, will this be worth it?

Thank you for your co-operation.

You will have 8 character slots.

Whether or not it will be worth it is very subjective.

Anyway, congrats on buying all 4 games. I must admit at this time that there are many better choices than GW (GTA IV, Halo 3, COD 4) if your into shooters that is. If you like the mmorpg way, than gw is a decent choice. Age Of Conan is what everyones been talking about recently.

i tired out my 55 farmer from droknars to the troll guys and it worked perfectly, i used my friends computer due to the fact gw is not instelled on the one im using now..

one more question, i buy all the 3 games that i still need, and then lest tsay i use the nightfall installation disks, can i after that go into guild wars, reset my account password since i forgot it using the email thingy, and then register all the games to my original account, can i do that?

I have not played connan but from what I have been told.
The quests get fewer and fewer, the story basically trails off and leaves you with farming and grinding.(basically there is not an end to the story) This is pretty sad, as I wanted to play that game as well, graphics look great. Why should I trade 1 game that still requires me to grind a little for a whole lot in another?

I have however played many FTP mmo's and GW is buy far the best of the all.

banks are a pretty good solution to this problem

yes, it is difficult to decide whether to put your money in an FDIC insured account where it can gain interest and is easily accessible at any ATM machine when other alternatives, such as under your bed or buried in the back yard, provide such overwhelming advantages.
this is assuming you live in the US of course, as i don't know how banks work in other parts of the world.

The FDIC is a government-sponsored corporation that could, in effect, be liquidated at any time, including a large, sudden depression. And this "interest" you speak of on a savings account is generally not even 1%. The current savings account I have is around 0.8%, which is 80 cents for every $100 in the account, which is practically negligible. Also, you're "easily accessible at any ATM machine" can sometimes cost you a $2.50 fee if you withdraw from a different ATM than your bank sponsors. The bank does have its advantages, but it also has it's cons, just like anything else.

On Topic: Yeah, Ryker is right, Guild Wars is still fun to play, but that's not to say it isn't pretty much dead. PvE is still fun every once in a while, but PvP has basically been ruined. I can't even name 5 good guilds anymore, and RA is more infested with people running "test builds" and mending wammos than ever before, TA is all gimmicks and there's literally no balanced in HA anymore.

While I may have taken breaks every now and then to live outside of these walls, I always feel that my money invested into Guild Wars has been well spent.

i think you missed the hint of intentionally comical bias i was showing towards banks. this, however, is understandable in a pure-text medium as text alone is sometimes insufficient at properly conveying the author's intended tone.
edit: also, my reference to the convenience of ATM's was a result of my close proximity to multiple WaWa convenience stores and my decision to use only the ATM's at these locations; WaWa ATM's offer free withdrawals from an account at any bank.

i have had times out of GW's myself, been playing since the prophs, and got factions when it came out, but then didn't play for over a year. When i came back there was so much to do and so many things that were different.

i got nightfall about 6 months ago, not finished that yet (not got into play it much till about a month ago) and recenlty bought GWEN. even though i am having to catch up with everyone else to do the big dungeon runs with "correct" builds, but it is def worth it, and the 4 new prof's are great, especially Assasins and Dervishs.

My advice is if you have the time, go for it becuase you'll need to put alot of effort into getting up to speed. Also if you don't want your interests conflicted, only resgister one new game at a time and finish one after the other (main reason i haven't finished nightfall is becuase i got gwen soon after),

The choice is yours. but wether to play one first then next and so on, or get all at same time doesn't matter to much, cus it is one AWESOME game to play!

@OP - yes, you can add the new campaigns to your old account if

1. you remember the account name (email) and password. You have to log in to change the password.

2. if the account name email is not still valid, you will need to change the Contact email address to something you can access.

3. If #1 is a problem, I would start by contacting ANet Support before you begin and straighten out the account problems. Be prepared to supply proofs of ownership of the Prophecies campaign.
