Who are We: HotU is a small, close-knit alliance, looking to grow. We cater to “mature” members who are just looking to enhance their game play. Our members are primarily American, however we do have UK, Canadian, Australian, Brazilian and other members. All are welcome! (We are also recruiting for guildies, so if this sounds like the place for you, either PM me here or in game <Riana Wynd>)
What We Want:
· We are looking for like-minded close-knit guilds. We believe the alliance should be an extended part of a guild family.
· We want the alliance to be another place people can go to for help or just to chat.
· We are looking for fun-loving people that enjoy jokes and will feel free to speak out in Alliance Chat whenever they want.
· We prefer that our guilds in the alliance have members that are primarily 18 +. This is due to the fact that Alliance chat can get rather vulgar, however it’s not a requirement. We trust our fellow Guild’s officers to recruit at their discretion.
· We do not take ourselves too seriously, so a sense of humor is a MUST!
What We Don't Want:
· We will not censor Alliance Chat. Our vision is to give people a place they can be free. We want Alliance members to be able to say whatever they want. Because of this, Alliance Chat can get vulgar. If you are easily offended, we are not the alliance for you. WARNING: If sex, drug use, and random acts of violence are offensive to you or your guildies, we are NOT the alliance for you.
· We do not faction farm. We like to give our members the freedom of pretty much doing what they like. If you want to AB and donate faction, that is your choice. So if you are looking for an alliance with loads of faction, we are not the place for you.
· If you AB, GvG, or do any missions with us, we will also NOT tell you what builds to run or which class to play. We may offer suggestions, but we believe everyone should learn what works best for them. The only exception to this rule is if you join us for HA or Hardmode/Elite Dungeons in EotN there are certain builds that work best for these which we might need you to run based on your class. However, we will work with you to come up with the build and will even help you find the skills.
· We are not giving handouts and do not want to see people begging in alliance chat for either items, runs or help. If allies need assistance with a mission or something, we do encourage asking, however, we ask that allies do not spam alliance chat with their requests. Someone will respond if they are able and willing to help. NO FREE HANDOUTS, we do NOT want allies asking for free items or gold in AC. The ONLY exception to this rule is materials, we’ve all been a few glitter short from our armor, and usually people will be willing to assist. Everything else the allies should be prepared to purchase. Usually our allies will offer items at a discount, however this is up to the person selling the item.
· We will NOT tolerate rudeness to Alliance Members. If you are just joking around with another alliance member and they are cool with it, that’s fine. But outright rudeness will NOT be tolerated. With that said, we understand that disagreements can occur. We just ask that each guild leader work together to ensure that things do not get out of hand. If you see your guildies getting rude in Alliance Chat we do expect you to put a stop to it. If the guild leaders are unable to reach an agreement, we will set up a meeting on Vent and work towards a solution.

· HA, GvG, Missions, AB, and Dungeon groups. We almost always have an extra spot in anything HotU may be doing, and we love for our alliance members to join us. Beats trying to find a PUG!
· Access to our Ventrilo server. Each Alliance guild is provided their own channel and the guild leader, upon registering to our forums, will be provided admin rights to this channel.
