What's the rage with this perma sin build?
Az Lam
All i keep hearing is this is the new 55hp monk build.
When i've asked people to show me the build everyone seems to have modded it or tweaked a skill or two. I've checked pvxwiki and they have it as;
Glyph of Swiftnesst
Deadly Paradox
Shadow Form
Sliver Armor
Intensity
Ebon Battle Standard of Honor
Air of Superiority
Death's Charge
Is this the right build or do i need to change a skill or two.
Secondly can this build solo any dungeons?
---
Before anyone kicks off, yes i did use search but every reply had a sarcastic reply lol, so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction
Thanks in advance

Its mostly use to solo farm ectos in the Underworld. This build has been made godlike by a recent buff to Shadow form.
You can read all the rant posts about the price of ectos and the need to nerf/not nerf SF in about every 5 new tread on Guru
The build is great for farming ectos and the posts about it are great for trolling and farming your forum reputation.

So this can'tbe used to solo dungeons e.g CoF or even normal areas, i hate farming with others in my group
On Volt
I think it CAN be used to do CoF, but 600/smiting is more effective for CoF, though.
Abedeus
Can't solo CoF, there are touch skills there (Headbutt) and smite signets.

CoF was an e.g
What dungeons/area can it solo?

I dont understand the aggro.. originally everyone HATED and I mean HATED Assassins. Assassins couldn't get into PuGs, no one took them seriously.
Now lots of people are farming with them.

How is Guild Wars 2 different from other MMOs?Now lots of people are farming with them.

While Guild Wars 2 adds a persistent world, it retains the unique nature of the original game including a strong narrative, extensive instanced gameplay, an anti-grind design philosophy, and strong support for competitive play.

That build does work - people also use the fire ele build: OwZToY/85R6zj0Z4CkhvYYUWBA

It is for the most part immunity to everything. There are workarounds e.g bonder.
Basically, 3 skill slots ([deadly paradox][glyph of swiftness][shadow form]) and you've still got roughly 5 skill slots and 100 attribute points. Tom Swift

I prefer the earth one as I seem to get more loot from it but it is slower

I don't think you can really solo any dungeons as there are touch skills, AoE and counters in most of them and the build doesn't have any real self healing. You could use a bond hero and duo some of the dungeons I suspect. (It's not nearly as much of a god-mode as many think as it does not protect against traps, shouts, signets, dmg spells that target anything other than the sin such as retribution or deadly riposte, Area of effect Damage, degeneration touch skills or certain monster skills.)
There are other areas you can farm with it - though they are not nearly as profitable so you wont usually find a list. Check the various PvxWiki perma builds - the discussion pages usually mention other areas to farm. Super Igor
Well yeah that build is pretty powerfull and if you want can solo cof, though it would be rather long and complictaed to do.

IMO thats the main source of the issue.
Sins have been the class the majority loved to hate for so long the irony of the class suddenly being buffed into one of the best farm classes in the game must be a bit of a slap in the face to the nay-sayers who have done nothing but rag on Sins since release. I could see it being a bitter pill for many to swallow especially if, as a result, they have started a new Sin purely for farming as their main class preferences simply can't compete profit/ease of use wise. On the flipside I think any class would have copped flack if they had been suddenly buffed into a "no-brainer" farm class, maybe just not as much. Ryu_ookami
I hope the perma sin stays as the new 55 I was getting bored running around as a monk my assassin looks so much cooler than my monk

Just to add some perspective, my Assassin was the first character I ever made when I started playing GW (which was around 6 months ago). I've clocked 765 hours on my Assassin, completed all campaigns, some title maxing (protector titles, maxed norn, delver, asura and so on and so forth). The point is that I've been a dedicated Sin player LOOOOONG before Anet buffed Shadow Form. And from this perspective, I would just like to say that I hope Anet nerfs Shadow Form back to what it used to be as soon as possible.
My reasons are the following: 1) Ecto price drop is doing crazy things to item prices, with a lot of unreliability when it comes to the high end market (Armbrace prices jumping and noobs refusing to sell & trying to get a lot more ectos than they are worth if you were to do a simple recalculation based on the old price of ectos etc) 2) Annoying idiots bringing Shadow Form in Gates of Madness then trying to "solo tank" the Lich & Shiro...bringing their wrath on the party when the ranger's trying to pull 1. 3) Shadow Form "runners" who don't have a single improved movement speed skill on their bar (not even dash T_T ) and charge sky high prices for the runs. Now...this may very well seem like just another Q.Q thread, I admit...but the point I'm driving to put across is this. "I love Assassins and I hate how they are being raped and mishandled by uninformed noobs who have no idea how to use them." Spiritz
I made a sin about 3 months back mainly for spots of farming ( punchout etc ) and to learn a profession i never managed to get used to ( skill chaining im weak on lol ).
As with any prof buffs that give an advantage you'll get ppl jumping in to make an easy buck - ursans/55's and so on. Yes ppl hate ursans due to no skill required to use ( read the threads lol ) but the sin hatred has been around longer and specially in ab but as its already showing too many ppl ecto farming and selling to merchants is killing ecto prices. And you get ppl rushing out and unable to buy the runes ( and complain ) or get bad bohemoth spawns ( and complain ). Anet may put in some new anti sin traps and then we'll see uw sins crying thatuw been nerfed lol. My sin dont do uw but farms thruout gw but we are also mainly solo farmers and who really wants to spend most of their time solo in gw - isnt gw aimed at party I also team farm as sin but as a normal sin - more enjoyable. And yes perma sf runners are usefull but ive only ran myself and a few guild members to droks etc and trying to be a pro runner has no interest for me , id rather farm and have fun than doing droks run several times a nite.
