K, this isn't my question but my bro's (who plays MapleStory....lol). K, for those u haven't even heard to MS, it's a very low graphics game. However, my brother's computer keeps crashing after a few minutes of play, and I can't figure out why. I've reinstalled the program, but that's all I could think of to do. I set the comptability to Windows XP, didn't help. His specs are:
AMD Athlon x2 4000+
2GB RAM
Windows Vista Premium 32-bit
Integrated Graphics

What do you mean by "crashing"?
Does the game turn funny colors and lock up?
Does it just exit the game, but the PC runs fine?
Does the whole comp shut down?
Does it freeze the whole computer and require you to force a restart?

Ok, lets try the easiest thing first:
Open up your case, and get some compressed air or a blower of some sort, and blast the hell out of the innards (dont use something you wouldnt blast into your face....chances are if it hurts your eyes, it hurts your electronics. Also, make sure if you are using compressed air, make sure it doesnt dribble out water/other fluid. This usually happens when you hold it upside down)
UNPLUG THE COMPUTER. 100% serious here.
Dont do this over static-making carpet.
Dont use a magnetic screwdriver.
Once you have all the dust out, put it back together and try again.
Another option is to find your graphics card driver and update it.
Also, make sure you are running the latest version of directX

oooooo. I thought it was the other way around. Hmmmm.
Is MS a downloaded or web-based game?

It's a download, Wrath. I tested it on Vista (ok, ok - I wanted to see what all the fuss was about) and had no problems with it. It's certainly not graphics-intensive - graphics-wise it's on a par with Super Mario Bros 3
If the system loads it ok (which is the biggest test) then there's no reason why it shouldn't keep running, apart from system issues such as overheating, or a malformed installation of the game, which would make it hang in certain situations.
I would start with deleting then re-installing Maple Story.
You should give the game a try too - then you will realise that GW players who moan about grinding really have no idea what grinding really is
