Kurzick or Luxon?

I'm playing through Factions for the first time, and now I have to decide which faction to get 10k points in.

I've read enough to know that choosing Kurzick or Luxon has nothing to do with armor choice ... I can get the armor I want no matter what. I'm also not in an active guild, so that doesn't matter.

So which do I choose? All I care about is which one is easier or gives me more advantages. From what I see, Kurzick is easier to faction farm ... anything else I should consider?

Just AB for your guild...its fun and beneficial. Doesnt matter which alliance you are with if you just AB. =P

You're going to have to do the other at some point, so just pick one. I picked Luxon because the Lux side is out in the open and very bright and easy to see. And, the kurzick are baby turtle killers

Personal Preferance. I love Luxon so I chose them, much rather see the Jade Sea than the petrified forest (got a bit of a phobia since I played FF9)

Luxon is the way to go

I personally prefer Kurzick because the Jade sea just seemed kind of boring to me, but that's exactly what it's all about- personal preference.

Anet did a good job at making them both about equal when it comes to difficulty.

Now when it comes to faction farming, I would agree, Kurzick is probably easier, but as suggested before, AB is much more fun.

hm, I found that the luxon quests are pretty easy, however, there doesnt seem to be as many (to me)....the middle mission -eternal grove/kurzick or gyala hatchery/luxon would be what I would decide on---I have had great success doing gyala with my h/h group and keeping all 5 turtles alive while doing eternal grove I have not been quite as successful keeping all 12 singers alive....

so on my personal experience I would pick luxon just because its easier to do with just h/h---

Just go with what your guild is. It'll make getting the 10k factions easier. Then, when you feel like doing the other side, ask a guest invite from another guild so you can get your factions by ab'ing. Unless you feel like doing some FFF.

I prefer Luxon with the Jade sea.

like he said lux is easier mish wise, however the easiest way to get 10k is Abing, if you dont like that lux HFFF is a bit challenging. so in summery if you want 10k without ABing go with kurz, however if you want the mishs to be easier go with luxons. GL

I started out Luxon and then switched to Kurzick, the Kurz side is much cooler if your a ranger, or like the dark side of the force. Plus there have been Drizzit and Ewok sightings in the Forrest.
AB is better on Kurz side because the Luxons are all Kracken heads.
I think alot of players just join the Luxon side because the think the name sounds cooler.

There's no difference. It's just red versus blue with fancy names. Honestly, just pick either. I picked Luxon, because my LCD monitor goes darker when I lean back. When I do this in Kurzick area, I can't see. I'm forced to sit up. I don't like it.

Apart from choosing between forest scenery and jade sea scenery the only reason to choose one over the other depends on elite skills.

If the elites you want are in Luxon territory then take that rout first if they are in Kurzic areas then go that rout first.

What is this with this Kurz/Lux are better than Lux/Kurz. That's just rubbish. That is why one day you play on Lux territory (cause the Lux had a bad day) and the next you play on Kurz territory (cause the Kurz were losing). It's all nicely balanced.
But I've noticed the waiting time on Kurz side is longer.

Oh hai! They're joking. It's sarcasm. Most people here know it's ridiculous, that's why it's funny to act like it's not.

i picked luxon cuz i liked the jade sea and some of their armors
kurzick looks a bit depressed to me and i don't like their surroundings
it's all personal preference
they're the same actually, just a different name, area and look
for the rest they're still a faction with an army you can allign too

Kurzick - easier faction farm. Treehuggers.
Luxon - much prettier scenery. PETA activists.

Personally my guild is Kurzick, so I'm Kurzick, but since I really don't care about the title skills I probably would've been Luxon for the prettier sights.

If you don't care about AB and the like, then just go Kurzick. Reason being that when you reach lutgardis, you can get your 10k in about 25 minutes of HFFF.
