Having a hard time finding the templates you want or need because they aren't organized or you have 500+ of 'em? Tired of constantly having to go to PvXwiki constantly?

Well look no further!

What this is:
A collection of templates for PvE and PvP across different facets of each mode. This project, however, strives for 3 goals with this collection:
*Are organized neatly
*All templates have a naming structure that they follow
*Stays up to date.

What is currently in this?
Currently this project has ~600 templates (some of them are C+P'd across modes) for PvE (General and Heroes) and PvP (all game modes), that are currently all taken from PvXwiki & other sources.

What isn't currently in this?
Anything that isn't in a Great section on PvXWiki, Farming & Running builds, and Team builds, and Equipment Templates.

What is the organization structure?
When you open up your templates menu, you will see two folders:
PvE
PvP
User (the user folder is for YOUR templates, you should place all your own templates in this folder so that they are preserved for future updates.)

When split they look diverge into:
PvE: General / Hero
PvP: AB / CM / HA / HB / GvG / RA / TA

Each one of these diverge into folders for each of the 10 classes. (Some sections do not have folders for certain classes, yet, as there is no great build on PvXWiki for them in that section.)

Naming structure:
[Primary][space][secondary][build name][tag]

Tags are currently only GREAT, but will later include additional tags.

How do I download this?
You may download it at http://fortranik.leafo.net/Templates.rar.

How do I install this?
This depends! If you are a new user, please follow the instructions below, if not skip ahead past them to the next section!

To install on Windows XP:
-Open the .rar.
-Drag your Skills folder to C:/Program Files/Guild Wars/Templates/Skills.

To install on Windows Vista:
-Open the .rar
-Drag your Skills folder to C:/users/[username here]/Documents/Guild Wars/Templates/Skills. If you have existing templates, thanks to my naming structure and organization, it won't overwrite any of your templates.

How to install this if you have a currently existing Ultimate Template Project v1.0/1.1 installation:

Step 1 - Take any templates you may have added and wish to keep, and Copy & Paste them all into a safe place.

Step 2 - Delete your Skills folder.

Step 3 - Follow the above directions for a clean install.

Step 4 - Place all the templates you saved into the Users folder found in your new Skills folder.

Enjoy, and let me know if you find any bugs or have suggestions etc. !

Sabway is a team build (player and heroes) in PvE, so no, it is not yet included in the first download. I will be including Team Builds in the next version, including a few not specifically on PvX Wiki, along with the Good quality builds.

I hope to have that done in a few days, with any luck.

Thanks.

I forgot to mention it but I also plan on incorporating Item Templates as well.

My planned final organization will be:
PvE
PvP

From PvE:
General
Hero
Farming
Running
Team

From PvP:
AB
CM
HA
HB
GvG
RA
TA

HA, HB, TA, and GvG will include Team folders inside themselves.

The farming and running sections will be in individual folders (for example, you'd open up the farming folder and see a folder titled A/E Shadowform Chaos Farm) which will contain the template, item templates probably, a .txt write up of the farm/run, and if possible a link to a video.

Team builds will be organized in a similar way, so as to keep all the builds in the same team placed together.

Eventually the goal of this project is to have a template folder that will ultimately replace the need for people to go to PvX Wiki constantly, as they will have the power of its (and other places) build sections at their fingertips always, and does it in a nice, organized, way.

Most excellent news then:

Since I now know when the next skill update is coming, I have decided that since there won't be any builds getting screwed up for a bit, I am going to release v1.1 tomorrow.

v1.1 will contain:
-a .zip package so people without WinRAR may use it.
-Team builds for PvE (PvP team builds will be included at a later date.)
-Farming builds with detailed instructions from wikis.
-Running builds with detailed instructions from wikis.

Just make sure you update the OP with the new link.

I am pleased to announce v1.1 is now released.

You may download it at www.fortranik.leafo.net/Templates.zip.

This release adds to v1.0 in the following ways:
-Running and Farming builds added for PvE.
-Team PvE builds added.

Note that Shadowform is used in some of the running builds, and I'm not sure if they work as well right now, but they should if you are careful.

Some team farm builds are absent because I am currently waiting for the next skill update. I put in the major team farms, however.

There will not be an update to this project (v1.2) until next Friday/Saturday/Sunday, possibly later, after the skill update next Thursday will set in. I am expecting a variety of builds currently in this template package to possibly not work anymore, or become less effective.

I would also like to advise users of this project to tag any of their own templates not currently in the project with the following tag at the end of the template name: [USER]. My template hub project (later on when it's ready), will be able to index [USER] tagged builds, and let others download them. Eventually it will be able to index these, have them rated by people, and then add the appropriate rating tag to the template.

Thank you.

EDIT:
There was a bug in that file that errored a template in the Sabway team build. If anyone sees any more of these errors, please let me know. You can edit the template file manually. It's for the Jagged MM, just open the txt file, and remove the space in the middle. Done.

Thanks guys, only a week to go before I can see what the update has screwed up and update.

I'm thinking of adding news streams to the Template Hub program, asimilar to what this project does: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10296384.

With any hope the Template Hub program will be your one stop program to launch before launching Guild Wars. Check your templates, see whats happened on the dev front, and go play.

I plan to have a fairly large update in about a weeks time. This will be new information into the OP (a FAQ about the project (an updated FAQ too for the few that have seen the one I have already) that will greatly explain the project in its scope, a new (still early) database build that will sort out all the builds for the new update, include more builds, remove all the old not good builds, include GOOD quality builds. I don't think I'm ready to release the early version of my Item Templates databse yet, still a lot of organization to work out, namely for weapon swaps in PvP, plus I've redone some other things I doubt people will notice, plus fixed all the broken templates I have. Huzzah!

Why don't you help the guy out, by telling him (us?) which ones are not working
