Can the Dragon Gauntlets have runes and all added to be battle ready?

And all the gauntlets and gloves in gwen as well? Dragon ones are what I"m worried about mainly, I don't want to waste time on something I can't fight in.

Under "Common Armor" on the wiki:

Yes, all common armor can be used just like regular armor. However, you may want to check some screenshots first, because many of the gauntlets don't meet with the armor on the upper arm, showing a band of skin between the sleeve and the gauntlet. It looks okay on some sets, but not on others.

In other words, it looks stupid on everything but sleaveless armor and mesmers.

Don't forget the wonderful clipping issues of the Dragon Gauntlets... they stick right through all shields except the Oaken Aegis... still, it's my favourite common armor skin...
