Q 7 and 8

are they really fully removed from the game?
I mean, they don't drop anymore or am I mistaken?

Req 8 max still drop aplenty.

According to the devs, req 7 max items also still drop but are extremely rare. In reality, none of these have been found since Nightfall was released.

I think req 8 max's have been found since Nightfall but not req 7. not 100% but thats what I remember reading.

The drop system was changed at around the time of Nightfall's release. Max req7 stuff dropped in Cantha and Tyria up until that patch but now req8 stuff seems to have the rarity of req7 items of that time.

Existing req7 items are now historical artifacts.

^ This might be inaccurate but the above seems to be the story as far as I can tell.

Actually, Gaile Grey said that "req 7 items still drop", but didn't specified whether req 7 max items drop.

myeah I had an artifact, max Q7 Fellblade =/ should be somewhere on on of my chars x] back from the start of tyria back when ettin farmin was profitable ;D
economy now is really screwed up isn't it =/

i just found a Req8 com shield in gwen today so req8s still drop

There has never been ANY screen shots of a Max Require 7 INSCRIBED item posted on Guru, or anywhere else that I have heard of.

Max R8 inscribed items have been seen, posted, and still drop.

Req 8 drops at very low percentages, while req 7s drop even less (probably VERY VERY VERY rare to ever see drop now adays)

um req 7 drop i got a blue one just today max req7 axe and req8 do to most are grape that i goten only one is gold and i heard some where r7 only drop in tyria

I'm pretty sure Nighfall was out when I got my Q8 jade sword. But that's obviously non-inscribable. I heard inscribables dont go under 9.

They can (pulls out obligatory reason here), because I have one. Req 8 Blood Knife, which dropped in GW:EN, Arachni's I think.

Req 8 inscribed items do drop, and R8 max items with new skins.

R7 Max Inscribed is still in doubt, Gaile said it does exist, but NOBODY has been able to post a pic of one.

Anyway, I found a blue r7 inscribable 12 energy skull brush once.
Wish i've taken a screenshot then, i think i merched it on a merchingspree... (you know, when you are merching stuff, you accidentaly merch the good stuff)

Theoretically a blue r7 inscribable 12 energy focus items would be the most likely r7 max item to be found *if* max req7s can drop at all (after 26.10.2006 update, in which I still don't believe) and would be a perfect proof. And would be worth quite a fortune.
Oh the countless merched one-of-a-kind rarities... Why all those req.7 Fellblades and unconditional crystallines have to end this way?
