Ritualist costume
Widowmaker
As I said on dA, lovely set of pictures and the costume is wonderful.
Just waiting on the next one now.

Seriously, I was like opening this page thinking, oh greaat, fanart/costume work, I think my vids need their own sticky or something... and then um... wow.
This shows creativity, countless hours of work, and I think you said a small fortune. I spent a small fortune on first a computer and then the software to do machinima, and you spent a small fortune on beads, cloth and shells. In the end I really can't say what was better time/money spent, seriously.
I'm honored to have my videos next to stuff like this, and we seriously need to have more people on Guru that appreciate the fanart, or maybe just more people on Guru altogether :P. Bravo! Want to see more!

Now I really want to start on the Dwayna costume, though it's way too early ^^'''
@ 4 D : I'm happy to hear that yes, we both work very hard doing two quite different genres of art. 4 D's vids are amazing btw,

very nice costume. Its to bad that no one has appreciated the actual photographer. That's a real shame.
But, keep up the good work.

Thats Great! U did really good job on it. Im waiting for wintersday ^^
Winterclaw
Neat costume you made there Tzu. Part of me would love to see the reaction if you went wandering around the mall or grocery store with something like that on.
Tzu
Thanks Darth
Winterclaw; It was great fun going to the London MCM Expo as a Ritualist XD The expression on people's faces (even if they should be used to weird cosplays by now) was something like this: <5% reckognized it, 30% stared without commenting, 20% commented on good work but had no idea what i was trying to look like, and the rest looked sort of scared.... >.> Oukanna
Wow you did a good job, making that cosume and modelling it :-)
you have good detail, which a lot of people tend to leave out, must of been hard work ^_^ I planned to make an elementalist costume for fun (to look like my ele) but i need to save up the money for materials xDD Can't wait to see your next creation :-) RavenGT

If that doesn't work, then get an Asuran armor or Vabbian armor cosplay going and all shall be forgiven. Mistical miss
Awesome Tzu ! Great job on those details and Gj photographer ^^
Jetdoc
Holy crap, that's great.

OMG! Best GW clothes ever done! GJ!

when you do go for dwayna, use a good grease paint, I like mehron, it doesn't cake bad at all. After you apply it, use baby powder, and then mist some water on to set it.

I'm not sure if your suggestion is actually serious, but in any case; I use snazaroo body paint for these things. Easy to apply and very durable.
If you're talking about painting the armour-bits, I've allready got that one sorted as well. Hollow Gein: 40k much? ;P A Leprechaun: yes, I'm currently working on a Battle Sister costume, keep track of the progress at my dA. thanks everyone! Rosa Vixen
Wow Tzu, that was amazing!!
I'm sure your costume of Dwayna will be just as gorgeous lakatz
Wow... what fine craftsmanship... and the attention to detail... I'm impressed. I love it.
Tatile
Tzu, strange question here, but were you at Games Day in Birmingham this year or did I see some other Adepta Sororitas cosplay?

no, I was not. I'll only be attending the mcm expo in october.
speaking of which, I'm working my fingers off trying to get that cos done in time. thanks for compliments everyone Valeria

ever tried out a thin layer of acryl paint? | VERY VERY durable and wont rub off on anything else but takes a while to get it off again PS: give us some nice pictures when it's done! Tatile

I don't think this is the right forum to post pictures of a Battle Sister cos, but I can bump this thread with a link to my pictures at dA when I'm done.
valeria; thanks, but considering how much bodypaint I'd be using for a dwayna costume, I don't think something that doesn't easily come off is a good idea. But thanks for the tip See, even after vigorous soaping I still had a "slight tan" for a few days after wearing the ritualist cos, and snazaroo is supposed to come off super-easy. Even body paint does tend to stick is you use a lot of it, no matter what brand it is. Swordsman Tjanz
Wow!! oO Never knew that it's possible to design such a good looking RL replica of ritualist's costumes.. I'm jealous, and that costume gets my blessing, no matter what. =) How long did it take to do such an awesomeness? "Few" hours. x)
And the photographer gets props too. /cheer Tzu
thanks
It took quite some time. It prolly would only have taken a day or two if I bought all the beads and decoration, but since I'm a perfectionist to boot I "had to" mould, bake and paint every single detail, so it ended up taking a few months in the end... :P Hyper.nl
