ok, so I have a question, are the rewards for doing dungeons in hard mode much more than normal? I'm not talking about the monster drops as I know they will be better in HM but from the chest at the end?

thanks

yeah very much so, I did darkrime yesterday in hm, got a colbat staff (rare skin) and a green weapon, so yes its worth it.

the best way to do it, IMO, is to either get a group of your good buddies to do it with you, or pay for a run through. HM either way, but I suggest that you do each dungeon at least once in NM beforehand, so you get a feel for the dungeon and what it's up to.

Doing it in NM gives no indication of how hard it will be in HM. An easy dungeon in NM can turn out to be stupid hard in HM. As an example, take a look at Ooze Pit or Vloxxen Excavations.

And getting a run through a dungeon doesn't give you a "feel"-in order to get the proper feel of the dungeon you have actually do it!.

Short answer: Yes.

Pros:
More of a challenge, so its more fun.
Better drops from monsters.
Double drops from end chest.
More rep Points.
Goes in your HM Dungeon Guide.
More experience.

Cons:
More challenging (can also be annoying)
Takes more time.
Might have to use consumables, which kinda makes doing it an investment.

as you can see, the pros outweigh the cons.

I'm for sure going to try and do a few later, I was thinking about trying to PUG a few but the last 15 or so pugs I was in we all ... err... idiots, so I ended up using HH and I had a way easier time then with real people, and well, thats a shame but oh well,

another question, for the HM handbook, do you need to actually fill it for it to be worthwhile?

I wish there could be more discussions regarding Vloxen, since its is so deceptively difficult for those doing it for the first time in HM.
