Ice breaker farming?
Akheron
Started my account back up after about two years of inactivity and wanted to farm up some money. I found an old guide on Ice Breaker farming with a w/mo but I just can't manage it. There's only two sets of two mighty grawls I can kill, the big group on the frozen river always has two or more barbed grawls in there and I can't survive near them at all. Am I supposed to just avoid the barbed ones entirely and go for the miniscule amount of farmable mighty grawls or what?

dunno much about the farm, but farming hammers won't get you any money, hardly anyone use hammer anymore, and it's not realy worth the effort cos greens are next to worthless now
Onyx Blindbow
If you want one i'll sell you mine for 20k
absolutcrobi
just go at with a sf assasin, even post re-renerf you can still kill them with the sliver armour version, and as long as you are solo you can kill the barbed ones for a paper fan.
stretchs
As the earlier poster said, farming the Ice Breaker is not very profitable, especially for the time spent, I would suggest finding a better source for income, even Feather farming is more profitable at this point

warriors normally go for Shock Axe or D-Slash, cos they need the +16 armor from shield, so the only good build i can think of with hammer is if you go KD-fest or bunny thumper

Warriors go for shiny things! And the ice breaker is one of them.

Mostly people farm it for themselves, not to sell.
And lulwut? No one uses hammers? Do you even play the game?

I think almos every warrior has a hammer a sword and an axe just for variety almost, but I have 3 wars that run different builds seperately each one is individually an axe war, a sword war, or a hammer war.

Warriors do NOT need the +16 armor... wtf are you talking about?
D-slash is worthless for PvP, Shock Axe is worthless for PvE. Hammer owns both

heavy can be used as a quick switch when applying weakness
Abedeus
Why do you need single-target weakness in PvE? Or lengthening it by ANY %? Enfeeble Blood > Heavy Mod.
Furious > Sundering > Zealous > few other > Heavy. ShoGunTheOne
no one said if the hammer is for pvp or pve use, i'm just assuming it's for pvp

shogun keep ur opinion to urself and save the flame bait / embarassment
from what i see u know hardly anything about pvp/pve with hammers vamp > heavy sundering > heavy zealous > heavy Tom Swift
I hadn't thought about the ice breaker in a long time. Quite some time ago I wanted one for some reason or another and tried to get it for weeks and could not. This thread reminded me so I thought I would take a run - very easy on sf/earth sin.
1st thing to fall: the icebreaker! But the earlier posts are right - not a good way to make money. I believe there are some good warrior builds for farming elementals outside sardalac for granite. They also drop golds, charcoal, an occasional ruby or sapphire. It's an easy run and averages about 10k/hr. If granite is selling for 100g/10 or more be sure to salvage the lodestones with a normal salvage kit. Under 90g don't bother. pvxWiki probably a good place to look for farming builds and suggestions |
