Territory Based Favor

I suggest we once again make favor based on territory and close districts down once again. Make it so your country needs to hold halls once again. I personally believe that when it was like this it was the shit and if you try and flame me for this idea I wont really care so RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO you.

I don't like doing HA knowing that it doesn't effect anything Also, people who complain about never having faction should go and get it, if they suck then they aren't allowed it, simple as.

I was thinking the exact same thing MMSDome, funny huh, but I think it make Holding Hall more interesting.

Its fun when you need to depend on your district winning hall to have favor. Its like having to defend something, like Alliance Battle. Now its just everyone for themselves, Holding Hall for titles.

I won't flame you, but I will say that the old system is flawed much more then the current.

With the old system, many people couldn't avoid the idiots in the American districts by going to Europe districts, myself included. Also, Why should PvP control PvE? Back when they were basically one in the same, it was a good idea, compared to the title favor system, but now that PvP is separate, bad idea.

If you really want the old system back, then PvP and PvE must be one in the same again, AND there must be a way to switch districts between American, European, and Asian.

I think that a new system is needed. Not titles or HA to get favor, something in PvE that would be tough to do, like a new "Super Elite Area" or something. I'm not one to come up with specifics in ideas though so don't ask me what the new system should be, I just think the titles thing is way to flawed, but it isn't as flawed as much as the old PvP controlling PvE.

Although, I will say this, Halls needs something more now that favor has been taken away from it.

I remember once wanting to farm UW when Europe had favor, I grabbed a couple friends, went and kicked some Euro kids outta halls and as soon as we hit 5, I raged to go farm ^_^;;

I'm got bloody tired of not being able to access UW or FoW simply because of a PvP thing.

Definitely /NOTSIGNED going into a PvE area should not depend on a part of the game (PvP) most of us in the game never venture into or would care to. So when you say, if you want favor, go get it, that's just an ignorant statement. Most people in the game have no desire to PvP. I have nothing wrong with PvP, just don't care to do it. I have tried it with Guildies that needed me, and I kick ass there, but it just doesn't appeal to me.

Once our 30k favor that anet just gave to us runs out you need to realize as the game goes on people will max out their titles and evetually there will not be any titles to max out. What happens when there are no titles to max out? The old system may have been a pain in the ass because you couldnt go do brainless solo farming or you may have to wait a little while to get your precious SUPER RARE obsidian armor! With scrolls you shouldnt really have a problem if we went back to the old system because they are not hard to come by.

Seperating PvE and PvP completely in my eyes is a mistake. It makes it a bit more fun when you need to rely on your district to win favor. Now I can give a shit who is winning halls hell I dont even get why they display it because no one really gives a rats ass. Bringing back the old system may get people more interested in PvP and try to win back their favor, who knows.

The current system is on a time table to where it will not be possible to work after people are done maxing titles and people lose interest in maxing them.

Opening up a thread like this isn't going to keep it open very long.
