Why are there no Superior Shadow Arts Runes?

I was looking through the rune merchants and there didn't seem to be any Shadow Arts RUnes! This was extremely weird to me, for this has neve rhappened before. Then the price of a Shadow Arts rune now is 5k-20k, which is the most exspensive i've ever seen a rune in my 2 years of playing!
Can anyone explain this anomally?

bit of a searhing nvr hurts you know. there was already a post about this. People bought them a long time ago to farm uw with perma sins

But there's no way that that would happen enough to make the merchant run out...plus since the nerf I would think that the mercahnts would be back in stock

You greatly underestimate the farming community, then. Shadow rune prices have been steadily going up and ecto prices have steadily been going down since the buff to Shadow Form, all you gotta do is put 2 and 2 together.

yep, SF farming killed the economy.

Really though, that is the highest you have seen a rune? what about Sup Vigor? or Sup Absorb (long time ago) or monk runes in the big 55er uprise?

I never recalled the sup vigor being sold for 20k

When I started playing a little over 2 years ago you could not find a sup vigor for less than 30k.

with the shadow form build still working in the underworld I would not expect sup sa back at trader for a little while yet.

you must of not payed attention to the market those days then i recall seeing sup vigors for 40k sometime

I bought my first sup vig at something like 70k, and my first sup abs at 100k

Farming ettins for sup runes used to be a great way to make some extra cash. Vigor, absorbtion and any monk rune were worth quite a bit.

Absorbtion 100k, monk runes 50-70k each, don't remember the highest I've seen vigor but it is a lot more than 20k. New players are lucky, they get everything cheap. They have no right to complain about prices.

I remember when Sup Vigs first got down to 23k. Bought about 5 of them I was so amazed.

Then you are quite young, GW-wise.

Anyway, the rune merchant only sells what it has. The Shadow Arts runes were brought out. And even with the SF nerf, it'll take more then a day before players start selling their runes back to the merchant. Just wait a while longer if you are looking to buy.

Heh, should have been around when the 55 builds were first made.

those were indeed fun times. everything was expensive and thus worth it. there have been times when a certain rune is needed so much the merchants ran out. it was extremely hard to find monk sup runes due to 55s, when they were new. this is similar.

sup shadow runes won't be back, since perma sf sins still can solo farm uw empty off ecto's.

The recent nerf had only a minor impact on them, while killing all other not so harmfull sf builds!

I think that I have one of these from a while ago. I kept it cause it was gold.
