Was thinking about trying this sometime, how tough is it?
My guild leader when I asked him said that the only real tough bit was the last quest, but i thought I would ask here and see what people say ^^
How tough is Sorrows Furnace?

I hardly hear people talking about Sorrows Furnace so I forgot prophecies even had this until a few days ago |

(beware, it may take you a lot of time)

;_; now I have to do that on another character instead of the only one that has completed all the campaigns + expansion ;-;
I did all of SF using H/H and it was not all that challenging apart from the last one which would have been a lot easier had I been able to rely on another player rather than micro managing my heroes.
I used Sabway, but forget what henchies I took.
I know that there is a guide somewhere detailing what the best course of action is and which order to take the quests in; makes life a whole lot easier.
Edit: Part of the reason I went in there was to get my mini Moa chick, and he was worth all the running around ;P

Your guild leader is correct. Did all the quests H/H for my black moa chick and the only difficult part is the last quest.
Nice area, and the quests are fun. See http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sorrows_Furnace for info on the quests. Hint: do the first listed quest first as it gives you a chance to explore most of SF and learn your way around.

Quick question, if you do all of one persons quest, and fail the next persons, do you have to do the persons quest that you already completed again after exiting sorrows furnace
example, if I do the stone summit quests, complete it, then do Unspeakable, Unknowable quest, and fail it, do I have to redo the stone summit quest?

Kilroy in SF is still one of the funniest quests in GW.
Mostly it is all simple enough with H/H, some are easier with another person, but now you can flag hero's it makes it easier. The priest quest is annoying as you have to split into 2 groups, and Oro can be tough as it gets bugged occasionally. But otherwise it's great fun.
*Edit* No you don't have to redo the quests, only have to do each one once, but can redo them as much as you want (hence Oro farming or FA farming). You can even redo FA as much as you want once you have done it once.

I remember when I first did the quests, Oro had been pretty hard and I was stuck on Alkar for months because all the teams failed at splitting efficiently. I don't even remember how I completed it the first time.
However, I recently did it (again) with 2 other people + heroes, we breezed through the quests... even Alkar. We had a bit of a problem there when Dunk's AI started to spazz and one had to flag her Tahlkora all the way where we were... twice... aside that we thought it was fairly easy. FA was also easy but we were prepared for it (everything is easy with Pain Inverter
).With the addition of new skills from other campaigns, and even more so with heroes SF has lost any form of difficulty.
I havn't tried scince the update but Alkar was possible taking 2 monk heroes and a shadow form sin, leaving the monks with the npc while you go kill. Orozar could be done the same way with 2 sins and 2 hero monks, as can kilroy. The last quest can be done with a single sin as its mostly no fighting.
A full team, especially a martial team will simply tear though all foes there. If they are not bad players of course.

I can 4-men a lot of it with 3 heroes(no solo/tank builds..) without any real problems, so any somewhat decent party of 8 should breeze through it.
The only somewhat hard parts are certain quests.

Most of sf is h/hable, including the last quest (I've done it several extra times, for black moa and for the hom statue) The quests leading up to that are trickier, the one where you have to protect alkar and go fight enemies means splitting up, so it's much easier with at least 1 other real person. Other than that, if you're smart and have good hero builds you should be able to do it.
