Ok I suggested this in another thread somewhere.
No GW2 beta in 2008 so it's safe to say that the game will be here somewhere in 2009.
A lot of (good) new games are coming our way and with the playerbase in the dark about GW2 and no more updates on GW1, mass migration is imminent.
How about a developers blog where they post:
-concept art
-screenshots
-other news
Updated once or twice a month just to tickle our curiousity about GW2.
Keeping the playerbase interested and informed will secure their allegiance for GW2.
Leaving them clueless will result in migration.
But that's just my opinion...
Anyone?
Who Thinks There Should Be A Dev Blog Where We Can Follow GW2 Progress?
Odinius
Broken Baby
I think that's a great idea. I haven't been able to find much concept art for GW2, and having other news and screenshots would be great. Would really hype up the coming of the game.

I'm sure Arenanet will create a website on GW2 when they feel the time is appropriate and have enough materials to show off.
Just like what OP said, blogs or websites are good methods of keeping players interested - I believe it should be left to Arenanet's marketing team to make that decision. It feels little silly to imagine players demanding Arenanet to keep them updated on a game which is in its pre-Alpha phase.
