How did you get your FoW armor?

First set from 55 farming smites in UW and griffons in the desert
Second set from Ele and War farming the smites in UW
Can't be bothered with getting any more sets.

friend gave me most of the money for the first one
my second one will be from buying ecto at like 3-3.5k each then buying shards... getting the money from zkeys and doa gemset selling

my First obsis For nec, Ectos were 15k/ea & shards 3.7k/ea got around 3 ectos & 10 shards from farming fow/uw,

rest of the cash was from quests,missions, gameplay & running ppl to places etc, it was loads of work but managed do it :P

Second one,(War) i got vanquishin & some power trading & chest running got some lucky drops.

Third, and probably last (monks) i got with pure power trading. took around 3weeks to get all that money..

First set: Ebayed it when ectos were 15k

Second set: Scammed 3 people of pretty items

My first set of FoW was not for me but i farmed my butt of to get it for her.
Second Set i farmed my butt of for myself. Then i deleted that character and made a new one, bought him FoW after having played loads of HM. And my soon to be fourth set i got by getting an Everlasting Golem thing which i sold 2 days before the SF nerf, made me even richer. Thanks ANet, now i just need them to nerf the new version again and bump ectos too 5K^^

I got my first Obsidian Armor a week ago for my Elementalist.

I farmed raptors in the 3rd Birthday Event and bought my Obsidian Shards with some of this money (bought it when Shards were 1.1k).

I farmed a little to get the ectos, but I bought most of them with money I got from the Xunlai Predictions and money that was left from the raptor farming.

I paid for my first by prot bond 55 farming UW way back in the day. My trip to get the armor was also my first trip ever to the FoW.

Since this was well before heroes and I was in a pvp guild at the time I had to pay people on my friends list to come make a party.

Also, back then America only had favor for like 2 hours a day, so I basically waited all day for favor and then had to pay all these people to come get it with me. It sucked, but made it feel like an even greater accomplishment in the end.

Saving a lot. Farming griffons, minos, and sand elementals with my earth ele build back in prophecies days. And some power trading/working the market.

1) Monk gift from a friend - Prot bond 55ing
2) Ranger gift from another friend - sold stuff from winning halls and Solo UW runs
3) Necro 2/3 gift from friend (same as ranger), 1/3 farmed vermin for it.
4) Dervish, farmed vermin for it before I even knew what it looked like
5) Rit - Wintersday 2007 was good to me.
6) Monk (remade her) Canthan New year was good to me...
7) Necro (remade her) REALLY good to me...
8) Mesmer - uh, no idea? Z-Keys probably and just selling junk I had lying around.

I think that's them all. o_o; I wish I liked other sets, as I'd buy them. Alas, I don't D:

No farming. Just playing the game. EOTN quests can yield 1000 gold rewards easily, monsters drop loot, gold adds up slowly, and I had nothing better to do with the gold.

Oh, BTW - I didn't get a single sellable drop yet...

PermaSf bandwagon, one week of farming

For my sin's FoW armor i farmed about 100k doing constant sardelac runs on HM and over the course of 4 weeks i farmed 25k a day doing sardelac runs/selling zkeys...slow and agonizing process but was worth it in the end

I didn't, and I never will. Simply put, it's horrifying.

basically getting lucky with drops when tombs first came out i got to Victos bulwarks and saved my money then when DoA came out i farmed like a mad man and got a couple sets one for my monk and one for my paragon

Never bought FoW armor, there's only one set I like (female rit, minus the headpiece) and I don't play that character enough to worry about it.

Solo UW 55 monk back in the day + crystalline drop from the strongbox(long gone) ectos @ 11-12k when I bought it I believe

Oh and you used to be able to make mad profits running. Not anymore.

600 / Smite Second Set.
3th & 4th set have not bought yet, go the ecto but waiting for shard prices to drop back to -1k.
