Getting tired of Paragon

I'm tired of running the same build.
I've already got my dream armor and beat all campaigns except prophecies.
I got GREATLY equipped heroes.
r7 norn
12/20 missions masters
And a good amount into my other titles.
Anyways, my point?
I am getting tired of my Paragon. I always run the same build with small variants.
I want something NEW to do, and not c+space+2(SY)
I want to use in-depth strategy and not people pestering me to go Ursan.
So far I have taken interest in Illusion CoP mesmer, Water/Hybrid ele, and a Ranger to get pets(Which would be kinda pointless in the end...) . But I know I can't have both. So help me decide what to do and convince me to get off my Paragon. Stuff doesn't matter as much now that HoM is going to be account wide.
What I want is Versatility, with many different options and strategy's to choose from.

Mesmers and necromancers both offer great versatility.

Fast casting may be viewed as many by a useless primary but it's actually quite useful, a combination of Fast Casting and Inspiration magic can have a mesmer fill in the position of other casters, my guild and alliance did Forgewight awhile back and we had only one human monk available to us, and a full party, so one of the mesmers went Me/Mo, long story short, the actual monk had to go afk about 1/4 of the way through Forge, and the Me/Mo kept us alive through the entire dungeon, through overaggro, with not a single death and got a r9 Volt Spear from the chest. \o/

Necromancers offer extreme versatility in the fact that they have Soul Reaping, which offers insane energy management so they can fill in many caster roles as well. Obviously the N/Rt healer is okay for spamming heals, I once ran Livia as Bsurge and her energy never fell below half.

I do have a mesmer, level 20, max armor. Although not much accomplishments yet.
Any recommendations on what I should do? I find that as a mesmer, even with inspiration magic, I have trouble handling energy, as I don't play many casters. Any tips?

Bring a hero with Blood Ritual or the hench Eve.

How many points are you putting into Inspiration and which skills are you using from the line?

Usually the only energy management I need is Auspicious Incantation, along with 9-10 points in Inspiration, next to a 15 or 25 energy spell, that can yield 25+ energy. I occasionally bring Inspired/Revealed Hex/Enchantment, but not often.

I LOVE playing my mesmer as a fast casting curses mesmer.

[echo][necrosis][enfeebling blood][parasitic bond][weaken armor][barbs][soul barbs][resurrection signet]

Yeah, people are gonna go "well, you could do all that with a necro!"

But the fast casting is what makes it sexy.

Echo'd necrosis spam with fast casting is FUN damage.

I find Monks (protection, that is - pure healing is boring) and interrupt Rangers the most interesting and active classes to play in PvE. Both require constant vigilance and builds tailored to each individual area.

Necromancers are somewhat versatile too. Soul Reaping is one of the best energy management skills in PvE, second only to ....

Elementalists, until Ether Renewal gets nerfed.

I don't find Mesmers that versatile really. Lack of damage dealing capabilities, inferior at caster shutdown and melee shutdown to the Ranger and Necromancer respectively, and their primary attribute doesn't really allow for many uses. Fast casting with other classes doesn't really work that well tbh, maybe as a gimmick it's ok. Soul Reaping or Ether Renewal works much better at powering secondary profession skills.

Rits pretty much have a one-build-style-for-all-areas thing similar to Paragons. You'll find it gets pretty boring after a while too.

But if I would use that combo, I'd need 20 energy and then i'd only get about 25-30 back, resulting is a measly 10 energy.
Any other ideas? :S

Power Drain, Waste not Want Not, Leech Signet, Mantra of Recall, Shame, Guilt, Kitah's Burden, the list goes on.

Dipping into secondaries you get things like Glyph of Energy, Assassin's Promise, Glyph of Lesser Energy, and more.

Thanks for the tips.
But I kind of have a trouble maintaining a constant dps because of skill recharges.
I am currently running this:

Any tips?

I'd say dump [Channeling] for either [Auspicious Incantation] or [Ether Signet].

This is totally going to end up moved to Mesmer.

Most probably. In fact, I request the mods to do so.
