Mission in Shing Jae

I am trying to get my ranger through this mission, but so far have been unsuccessful.
I have tried the following for heroes:

Necro with Spiteful Spirit, Reckless Haste, Enfeebling Blood etc...
Mesmer with Power Block, Mirror of Disenchantment, Empathy...
Elementalist with Searing Flames
Monk with Word of Healing, Aegis, Protective Spirit...

What hero builds have you used sucessfully on this mission?

What build should I be using on my ranger?

It would help if we knew exactly what mission and what build you were running.

Since you have Hero's I assume your talking Hard Mode. Generally for the 2 missions on Shing Jae Island a MM will steam roll most of it.

As for a Ranger build the [Burning Arrow][apply poison] combo with some interupts self healing and maybe /monk for a hard res should work fine.

It's the mission related to the festival given by Captain Rujiyo. I just discovered that he no longer offers me the mission, so I guess I won't need help until he offers another. I am currently running a Marksmans Wager build with mainly armor piercing bow attacks, interrupt and pain inverter.
