HoM Headpieces

I've tried using the search system to find and answer, but it pulls up wholly irrelevant threads (maybe I just fail at using it).

Anyway, my question is this: Do some armor sets not show a mask for the female Mesmer? I added Elite Sunspear and Asuran armor, and both are displayed with a mask, yet my Ancient mask doesn't show up. Is that normal? Anybody know if other Mesmer sets display sans mask?

As far as I know, only armor sets that don't come with head pieces do not show (such as Necromancer Elite Armors and Nightfall Paragon Armors). Not sure if that is the case with any of the mesmer armors (as far as I know, they all have headpieces, but don't play a mesmer so I'm not sure).

My 15k Kurzik shows up with mask, but my Virtuoso doesn't show up with a mask. I didn't buy the 'matching' mask for either, but the Kurzik one showed up anyway...

None of the ele armor shows headpieces, since none has a 'matching' piece. I guess any armor that comes without a headpiece won't show whatever you're wearing.

Thanks guys. I'm still confused about it, since Ancient does come with a mask so it should show up as far as I'm understanding this. I bought the Ancient mask afterward and still didn't get it to display.

I suppose it doesn't matter too much, but I now know not to throw 15k away when it wont make a difference.

Yeah, in order to see the mask, you don't need it, you just need the other four pieces. And it would be 10k not 15k (unless your including materials). I have Ancient armor on my sin and the mask shows even though I never bought it, I just use my Mask of Mo Zing instead.
