This seems to be happening quite abit.
Somebody forms a group for Ursan Farming.
Says "shucks my connection is acting up - afk", straight after grabbing norn hunting.
Then doesn't return, leaving the group to farm points for him while hes afk.
To me, this is botting. The same as you would use a program, you're using a group to do the exact same job while you're afk.
I've reported people as botting for doing this. My question is, hopefully im correct in my terminology of what can be considered botting and I won't be treated as though im abusing the report system?

Botting is using a bot to commence the opperation.
If you ask me it's more of a griefing matter, but I guess it can be qualified as botting if it's the same thing happening alot.

That's the problem, it is leeching, but there is no option in pve for reports of leeching.

But yeah, it's not botting - botting means that he'd use a bot to do his job.
If he uses a group, it's leeching.
(Although with the brains some of the ursans have, I'm dead sure a bot would do a better job - couldn't help that comment >_>;;; ).

You can't report for leeching, the leechers tactic seems to be stop half way through the run and go afk. That way you're pretty much forced to contine unless your group dies and they force you to quit instead.

This is not botting because it does require a human to attend; it just minimizes the amount of attention you need to spend on Gw PvE and lowers your input to NPC interaction, IDing items, posting on forums, etc.

What did you expect from pugs? Would you in RL ask random people on the street to help you move your stuff into a new place and then be surprised that something got stolen? Why would you expect anything differnt from the anonymous internet public you should expect worse.

Just another reason why I prefer to solo hench/hero... how I miss the friends I used to group with that have all left for other games.
