If I travel from Nightfall to Prophecies continent,to return to nightfall,do I need to do Proph travel quest or I can freely travel?

You can travel freely but you get no frequent flyer reward point.

You may freely travel. There will be a little boat on your "M" map near Kamadan and Lion's Arch, respectively. Click it, and you may travel freely to those port towns or to the Temple of Balthazar.
