Hi, I just got enough money for my Ranger to afford the Norn Armor.

But, I'd rather not Ursan my way to R5 to get it. Any answers how do to get it in a reasonable time? Path of Revelations is out of the question, I hated unlocking that quest on my derv, I also don't want to run all that way from Olaf's.

Please help

Hero handbooks, very easy

one handbook should have you at R5 at least iirc

If one of the fastest methods is out of the question, your only other real option is Handbooks. But since you don't want to run to get Path of Relevations, I don't see that working.

Since you're only going for R5 just Farm it for a while or Vanquish some HM Norn Areas. It shouldn't take very long to get to R5.

Just fill out a heroes handbook in Normal Mode and turn it in for norn points, that will get you the points you need to hit R-5. Or just vanquish Drakkar lake a couple of times, saving the bosses for last.

Complete a book, it only takes about 2.5 hours in NM and really isn't that difficult.
You'll get 20,000 points for completing the book and already have about 5k most likely, if not, then vanquish a small area to get the last bit.

Thank you everyone. I'll probably resort to Vanq.

Completing the main story in GW:EN and turning in the handbook will get you to rank 5 in whatever track you choose. I'm somewhat confused on your reluctance to run to Rata Sum based on time; it took me 15-20 minutes on a Ranger. There's always vanquishing Drakkar or Varajar, but turning in the handbook seems much faster to me.

complete a book....get another book and then do some of the easy ones again ....and turn the book in again....its how I got it---there are 3 pretty easy ones that you can redo in a about an hour or so (the first norn, the first charr one, and then the first asuran one....that gives you 8).
there are a bunch of norn quests, I found that getting ebon was much more grind involved.

It's been awhile since I turned in my handbook on my warrior. But I remember the person I turned my book into said "Let me finish that book for you" or something along that line..

that only happens if you don't have a book on you at the time of completing the quest, then he'll fill that entry in for you for 100g

i think so anyways, happened to me only once

You can also get roughly 300 or so points in Jaga Moraine by clearing out the Necromancer boss and his minions (really easy), the Spectral Vaettirs, and running to each of the rez shrines. Total run takes roughly 10-15 minutes if you have a decent build.

Vanquish, farm it, or suck it up and do a book.
