I would like a kind of warrior with 80 armor, 3 pips of regen,

skill types: mainly stances, enchantments and of course attack skills.

weapon types: 2 handed swords and 2 handed spears for melee attacks. It should have a chance of doing armor penetration inbuilt in it's attacks

should have following attributes:

Way of the spear: Improves skills with spears

Way of the sword: Improves skills with swords

Endurance: Improves skills that additional defense. adds + 5 health per rank

Bravery: Improves skills that add to attacks and motivation

Clear sight: Improves skills that add to healing and enchanting party members.

Of course this is just on top of my head but something like this might be nice. It's kinda a mixture between all the melee classes and the paragon.

Although to be truthful I'd rather have all the old classes build up and put into gw2. Maybe add some additional sorts of weapons.

I don't think it's different enough from W/E or W/Mo to be an entire new profession. Besides, do we need another melee?

Also, what happens with W/S or S/W who take both Swordsmanship and Way of the Sword? You can't say that Warriors can't use two-handed weapons because thats like making a monk that can't prot.

Need to indicate which attribute is primary aswell. Give us some skills, and then it'll look better.

It sounds exactly like a D/P. Two handed melee weapon with shouts, enchants, and three energy regen.

And I think the +5 health per rank is a little much.

Way of the Sword, Way of the Spear...sounds too much like Diablo Barbarian skills...

Although I would love to see two-handed weapons...but I guess we'll have to wait for GW2 too see what happens there.

I think that if it were to be a Samurai, they mainly use Katanas and Javelins, so go along that line.

You said they base themselves off stances? Well, how about they have stances that last for 1-2 seconds long but give a nice bonus effect. Like Shield Bash, Riposte, and Deadly Riposte, these are tricky warrior skills that can enlighten yourself to pay attention.

While those are skills, these will be stances. They sacrifice the ability to use Gladiator's Defense stacked with these overly powerful Stances.

For example, for 1-2 seconds, the next time target attacks or uses a spell that targets you, they are knocked down. You can watch a particular opponent and predict whether they will use it or not. Guess correctly, they are knocked down. It's a perfect reward because on top of that, you already have the ability to use a new attack or secondary skill to follow up that knock down. Instead of aftercast or waiting for your attack to finish, you can follow up immediately to the reaction.

As a Samurai tends to have lighter armor than a traditional medieval warrior, I would think that perhaps the primary could increase your attack speed by 1% for every attribute. Being maxed out at 16%, a nasty backfire could be that you lose 5 hit points for every two ranks put into the attribute. Permanent 16% increase should have a negative buff as well. This would result in -40 health at maxed attribute. Stacked with the superior rune, it's a hefty fine to pay, but can pay dearly in the fact that your attack speed is automatically buffed.

To abuse having 16% extra IAS, stances of other professions will last 5% shorter durations for every 3 ranks of the primary. At 15, it would reduce all durations of other stances by 25%, making stances such as Tiger Stance stacking with the primary far too much.

2-handed weapons would also be pretty heavy, right? I would figure that the attack speed would be equivalent to the scythe. However, if these are big weapons, for every points into your primary, your attack skills become unblockable. This is reasonably fair, as the chance is can only be increased to 16%. The odd chance of a hit is unlikely.

But, I'm just rambling. It's for fun, after all.
