Interesting is all I can say...lol

Hmm, Is this a mix between mesmer and ele? With medium armor?

Like I said interesting, but theres not enough here to get the full understanding of your idea.

Interesting..... reminds me of one of those Naruto ninja skill thingies. I'm sure I've seen art summoning in other Anime/Manga as well. Inu Yasha maybe?

Though to tell you the truth, I'm not sure if this concept fits in well with the lore and style of Guild Wars.

nice....really nice!!!

It reminds me of the character in final fantasy VI , the painter girl

But is there any benefit for a party to have this class?

And if it's a caster, then the AL should be 60. not 70

Interesting...As said before, not sure if there would be a way to implement this into guild wars. Who knows, we haven't seen GW2 yet so we don't know what is possible and can be properly done. But it is interesting.

It reminds me of something from the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind.

Cool, but I think "Draw Spider" should be in the art of nature, not Chaos even though spider's are "evil" creatures. And damn ugly mofo's >.>

I like this profession you came up with. It's rather interesting.

Hopefully more people can express their feelings about it.

nice idea

i like the attributes but the name of their primary attribute doesn't really sound fitting. How about something like "Talent" or "Creativity" etc.?? Or something else.

Relm Arrowny, it was also my first thought when I read this. If I can equip a Fake Mustache and control enemies in a mob I'll be all about this

For the primary of Drawing Mastery - wouldn't it be more realistic for it to follow similar to Fast Casting? At least in my head, a better artist would get something awesome done faster, not jump to another project sooner. Or maybe 1% off both skill activation and skill recharge.

That said, it's kinda cool, but it doesn't really mesh with anything GW lore related. I can't picture a Charr running up to somebody and painting pictures. A+ for thought and effort, but I can't even imagine it actually in-game.

I actually don't like the description of this profession at all. its just me okay, so while you want input, here it is.

I dislike a profession that claims to be peaceful but then kill their enemy.

I would laugh my ass of when my character starts drawing in the air, and some drawn man would come alive smashing my enemies, or drawing a big rock, flying at enemy.

Though I dont see this prof happening, not enough variations on skills I think.
Could make a proffesion with only 1 attribute of drawing, rest something else dunno what.

Perhaps they should have some uber-casting time. Since they have to DRAW the creation first. If they're a peaceful class, they should have the absolute LOWEST armor rating and only mid-damage. You cannot claim to be peaceful and then charge into battle with decent armor expecting to do loads of damage.

I understand the concept and it might be cool for a week, but if you think it's just another spell caster. Perhaps, though, they could be fully condition based. This way they would be semi-unique and more peaceful then a damage dealer.

Portrait of Balthazar
Artist, Art of Chaos
Energy: 15 - Cast: 20 - Cool-down: 60
Portrait. All nearby foes are struck for 10...15...20 damage and become crippled for 3...10...14 seconds. This skill ends once you move from the original location.

Something like that MIGHT work but I still don't like it. It just doesn't feel like a proper class.

Instead of "Art of" you could instead go with more color-based names like "Cool Tones," "Neutral Tones," and "Warm Tones" or something else.

Also, using Dyes as regents could be interesting things to think about. Summon a guardian, and, based on the color dye, have them develop a different trait (Red, being the color of passion, draws an Axe Warrior guardian, while Blue, the color of purity and innocence, draws a healing Monk guardian. Green, a color traditionally associated with evil, could draw forth a Hex-based Necromancer guardian, while Black, the color of power, draws forth an Elementalist of some nature).

These guys, to get the proper feel of the flavor, need the lowest armor and damage output, but be back-row utility and support.

This reminds me of the "Toon World" strategy from Yu-Gi-Oh!

What is the difference between peace and nature skills?

I was also thinking of other possibilities but most are more fantasy and less realism... I know they don't go along with your idea problem but I will still say them! (I know I list no damge/energy costs/recharge/etc, I suck at skill balancing, I just want to get the idea out).

You could have awesome/cheesy art supplies weapon skills... "for next 10 seconds ally wields a fan brush/marker/pencil (fan brush might cause foe to miss, marker might steal energy, pencil may have armor penetration)."

I also had ideas of color based skills like Colorblind: "target foe cannot target/attack any armor colored ______" or "cannot use any skills with ___ color icons." You could also have painting skills where you paint people or skill bars to disable them, while painting your teammates to protect them. Also a hex breaker like color skill called Prismatic.

Not a bad idea in my mind.
Although I doubt it will fit with the other classes well enough to be implemented.
But this is by far my favorite class creation.

Lemme take a crack at it

Quick Sketch

10e 1c 30r Harmony and Focus

Your next 1..3..4 drawing skills recharge 33% faster

balance
5e 1c 15r the art of peace

Remove 1..2..3 hexes are removed from target ally

Chroma

10e 1c 15r the art of chaos

Target ally's next attack strikes for +10..15..25 damage.

Earthenware

15e 2c 20r the art of nature

You create a shroud of earth around you, granting you +5..15...25 armor against attacks.

Mobile

5e 1c 15r Focus and Harmony

You move 25% faster for the next 3...5...10 seconds

Draw Dwayna

15e 3c 45r Focus and Harmony

You draw a portrait of Dwayna. The portrait is a level 20 ally with a full skill bar that will follow you until it is killed. Only one Dwayna can be summoned at a time. [Dwayna is a monk character with 12 in healing and a set of heal skills]

I like these ideas personally. That was fun, thanks for the idea

You just made this class the biggest bully around

"Hé, you just turned my new e-blade in a pencil!"

Just want to add, that this could be most imba prof ever IF it gets worked out better. Drawings only being one attribute, and throwing more concepts about colours, and indeed weaping spells and conditions. Really could see this guy handle blind and daze very well. Thought the art consept might not really fit guild wars, maybe better for some other game

I think adding a class that is based around the player actually drawing something (with casting time depending on how fast you can draw something instead of a set amount). Instead of drawing on a real paper (hitting a button and just waiting for it to cast), maybe the act of painting on a wall, but without a wall (you'll see the character move and an area on the screen promps you to draw/paint). That way you don't have to change screens. You move the mouse in certain ways and if you fail to draw it...it doesn't go off. One of the attributes can relate to how close you have to draw something that you're suppose to...meaning it would be wise to pump up if you suck at it or need to cast faster.

an interesting idea, and as stated before, I dont think it would work well with guild wars, though i might be able to see the sylvari using this proffesion
