Monks can farm the nestlings with the 55 build, only with a few substitutions such as mantra of resolve and if you want radiation field- they just cant farm the boss.

but i farm the raptor boss on my monk with a mo/e sliver build

EDIT: and next time, check pvx wiki before you post..

Ele: http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:E/..._Raptor_Farmer
Ranger: http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:R/E_HM_Raptor_Farmer
War: there are none for war at this time

All of these builds use sliver, mist form, AoS, and glyph of swiftness. With a 20% enchant weapon and GoS you can keep mist form up almost forever, with a small bit of time recasting. Though most times there wont be a down time because AoS will recharge your skills. If yo do end up having this downtime- all you have to do is put up magnetic aura to block the attacks so you can safely re-cast mist form.

I prefer the latter of the two, some the former. Its in hard mode and kills all the nestlings and boss in one pull.

There actually is a Warrior build to kill Rekoff and nestlings in NM. I cant recall it but I've seen it on Guru complete with a video.

This is a working warrior build for hard mode farming. Has two vides at the bottom where you can see it in action and a couple variations you can do to it.

been messing around with a perma mist form "work in progress" ele build that will do the whole cave in NM, will kill nestlings but not Rekoff in HM.

20% enchant mod
shield of devotion w/ reduce bleeding time inscr
water mag:11+1+3
Inspiration:12
Energy storage 6

[glyph of swiftness][mist form][channeling][mantra of resolve][mental block][radiation field][aura of restoration][frozen burst]

trying to convert it to a sliver build instead of using degen (which causes alot of HM scatter)but haven't figured out how to allocate enough att points to earth and still maintain the rest of the build.

Survivors and at least a major vigor on armor
20% enchant mod (main weapon)
high energy enchant mod (for emergencies)
shield of devotion w/ reduce bleeding time inscr
earth mag:8+1+3
water mag:12+3
Inspiration:9
Energy storage 5+1

[glyph of swiftness][mist form][channeling][mantra of resolve][mental block][glyph of elemental power][arcane echo][sliver armor]

After some good suggestions from nos two, I was able to get this to work. One failed run out of 20 in HM clearing the whole cave. Glyph of ele power can be subbed out for [air of superiority], this slot is optional but with ele power it boosts the blocking to 98% with sliver up.

Kill the small group at the mouth of the cave first. You don't want to aggro the whole cave or mantra will eat your energy too fast. Once the first group is down, round up the rest and head for Rekoff. Cast ele power and arcane before you aggro the boss then pull her group. Make sure you have sliver up BEFORE Rekoff reaches you or wild strike will strip mantra and you are done.

Things to watch out for:
-Make sure your energy pool is large enough that your energy doesn't reach 0
-Mental Block may need occasional re-cast when blocking is up at 98%
-Target locking the boss so she doesn't kite (pinning against the wall works well for this)

still works for me
it's just slower and you need every damage boosting skill to kill efficiently but it still works
you won't clear the entire cave and sometimes even leave 10 raptors but you'll still be able to kill alot

This is the build I used to farm the raptor nestlings. Sliver is up indefinitely, kill everything including the boss under 2 mins. You can even kill the raptors patrolling the area, provided they did not int your SA since the wild strike took out your stance.

1) cast mantra & channeling as you enter the cave
2) cast SA & AoE as you aggro the first raptor
3) run around and aggro everything except the boss grp.
4) cast mental block on, and refresh SA before aggro the boss grp
5) aggro the boss grp, cast renewal and sliver, the boss will drop within 5 sec even if the first sliver did not target her at first.

Weapon of choice, staff or spear with 20% ench, since you need to wand the raptor that ran away.

[Sliver;OgVDMZycSfVlCmARAxl5iKB8QA]
Earth: 12+1+3
Inspiration: 9
Energy Storage: 9

Equipment: Adept Earth Staff of Enchanting (or anything with a 20% Enchant)
-Get blessing
-Enter cave
-Cast Stoneflesh, Armor, Channeling
-Aggro first grousp (left of cave) and use Mantra, then use Mental Block
-Aggro all the Nestlings then head towards Rekoff's group
-Once you get the 'Defeat Rekoff Broodmother' put down the Standard
-Cast Sliver, it should kill Rekoff
-When sliver runs out, cast Echo, cast sliver, cast echo sliver

The standard and Echo aren't needed, but it just helps kill stuff faster.

I prefer the latter of the two, some the former. Its in hard mode and kills all the nestlings and boss in one pull. I've actually tweaked that build a little bit since I got Mindbender. Here's what I am running now:

[build=OgYTk4FfHatU4gdAVA1AukHKXEA]

Mindbender is nice because it provides a running skill AND a somewhat decent interrupt prevention since it reduces casting time too. I can cast it at the entrance and then aggro everything and can make it to the broodmother group just as it starts to blink. I then hit whirling defense (which has no casting time) and Mist Form before any raptor is able to hit me. I have level 10 Asuran, so this may not fly with a lower rank. This frees up a skill since I am no longer needing the glyph of sacrifice. Since this build is all about hoping your sliver doesn't get interrupted, I went ahead and added throw dirt into the bar. (I can't add Intensity since I already have 3 PvE skills). As before, I am sure that the Broodmother is already selected as my target before I even get into the cave. I then cast the Magnetic Aura, Throw Dirt, (will recast Mindbender if it has recharged), and then the attack skills. I am also using a 20% enchanting earth staff with BOTH an adept head and a Aptitude not Attitude inscription so I have a 40% chance of having a half casting time on my sliver. All of these blocking skills and cast time reductions reduce my chances of my sliver getting interrupted to a very slim margin. Also, since I am casting mist form farther into the cave than before, I have more breathing room while I hope for a recharge. While you are killing, if you have the energy to spare (Air of Superiority will usually give you lots of energy), I go ahead and keep up my 2 blocking skills AND Mindbender to prevent interrupts. Sliver Armor itself is a block skill, so you want to recast it before it dies. This particular build is very unforgiving when running through the cave, so you want to be experienced at aggroing the raptors without running into them or getting trapped. I am running all radiants, a superior expertise rune (optional), and attunements (basically a touch ranger armor set).

The stonestriker build shouldn't possess any advantages at all over this build since you are pretty much doing the same thing (aggroing and then hoping to not get interrupted). Also with the stonestriker build you need to bother having a specific set of armor with earthbound runes which you really wouldn't use for anything other than raptor farming. The real question is whether or not this build is better than having a nerfed permasin. I have both and have done lots of farming with both. This ranger build is definitely more technique sensitive (face it, the permasin is a no brainer) but it is very fast since your killing skills are at full strength. I probably just need to time both options and see which nets the more successful runs over a half hour period or so.

As I mentioned before, you could probably tweak this build for just about any profession. The key is to find skills that block or reduce casting times to replace my two ranger skills. Worst case you can pull off mindbender, replace it with the Armor of Mist, and insert the Asuran Skill Mental Block. Mental Block is a little different in that you'd cast it at the cave entrance and actually let the raptors hit you now and then to keep it recharged (yes, it stays recharged while in Mist Form). That would allow you to create a totally elementalist build that theoretically any profession could use if they could keep their energy up.
