Many people are wondering what Jade Quarry is and never get to see or even map the area. Why not hold an event to boost Faction Points to pull in future players of Jade Quarry? People are hooked on playing Fort Aspenwood andnot knowing that Jade's Quarry gives a maximum of 950(+50 for each Mine taken at the end) and is much quicker to play and to end. The Servers are just rotting with people no clue its there

Double faction in competitve missions -- 6 June 2008
Starting at Noon Pacific (-7 GMT) this Friday, players who own Factions will receive double Kurzick and Luxon Faction for competing in the Jade Quarry and Fort Aspenwood competitive missions. This bonus will last through 11:59 PM Pacific (-7 GMT) on Sunday.

All faction rewards need to be boosted. You can FFF and earn 10k in like an hour. You should be able to do the same with PvE missions, Co-ops, and AB.
Then I may actually AB, and other people may actually particpate in missions again.

Jade Quarry needs a huge faction boost, even if only temporary. Doubling the faction gain there for a few weeks and then cutting it down by a few hundred afterwards might be able to attract a community stable enough to make Jade Quarry an easy place to find a party at.
This is the mentality that kills the arena.

They should some how combined Aspenwood and JQ. Add 2 forts to aspenwood and add the quarry/amber mines outside. Let the juggernauts and turtles run amber/jade.

Add some limited time PvP quests that involve FA closing due to the Vengeance of the Gods wtfpwning the Luxon base, the Luxons needing to collect massive amounts of Jade to rebuild it, Kurzicks have to stop them and collect jade for their own purposes, quest requires players to play 3 games of JQ. Also, since we have /report, increase the losing and winning faction and increase the balth and kurz/lux faction for kills during FA and JQ.

Maybe they should have FA and JQ affect the Kurzick/Luxon territory lines? That could spur a little interest from the people hard core into the whole Luxon vs. Kurzick thing.

How about turning it into something like Team Arena with 8 players?
Let Fort Aspenwood work as usual, but open Jade Quarry for a more organized PvP format (with the obvious PvE influence).
Suggestion B:
Redistribute Reward Points in a different way.
Count the amount of games played in both Missions, the mission with less games played gives participants a faction bonus if they win.
An event would eventually populate JQ, but just for time the event runs. It will be deserted afterwards and I fear it will be abused by cartographers anyway, so normal play should not always be possible (unless you enjoy ganking them :P)

Allow the formation of an 8 player team in Jade Quarry. Make it distinct from Fort Aspenwood in that regard. Because frankly the type of mission Jade Quarry is, I'd expect teams instead of randomly being put with a bunch of other players.

There should be 'spacial' occasions for Challenge Missions and Challenges, probably randomly once a day.
The Host NPC that explains about the Mission would warn the characers about it with a Fast-rotating Yellow Diamond icon instead of the typical slow Green one.
Enter the mission, and prices double or triple, or new prices appear and such.

JQ: should impliment professions as a key element to specific roles in stealing the mines. Skills you can get, to make the game more PvE than PvP since it already is in a way. Juggernauts be controllable by players. Random party member gets the option by talking to a leader at the spawn. When this juggernaut dies, a new one is spawned. Slow movement, a flip skill for the siege turtles, an AoE skill, one heavy hitter melee skill, 20 second recharge slowdown hex.
FA: Luxon should be able to hire classes of their choosing, not useless Luxon hammer warriors. Kurzicks should be able to build a single siege weapon to fire against Luxons every 30 seconds. Allowing for a defense of some sort. This shouldn't affect turtles due to their large protective shelling, but hurts surrounding players for -150 damage, which cannot be decreased by AL. The siege is controlled by a single player, has the option to get out, the siege is vulnerable to attacks and easy to repair, cannot be healed by player skills, and has long range extending far out in the front of the fort. Unable to attack areas in between the doors, but can hit within the fort as well. Doesn't harm allies.
Just some suggestions.

I reckon it should be changed to give it a purpose apart from cartography. Thats all it amounts to, people go in cart it and never go back.
Make it so that there is a greater purpose is a great idea, although in its current state it would need either insane faction or a complete rework to be worth it.

I like to play Jade Quarry. With the last double faction weekend there were many players and we could finally play the JQ mission. But not is is usually deserted as always. I suggest that all double AB faction weekends are converted to double Luxon/Kurzick faction weekends instead to promote JQ and Aspenwood.

Jade quarry is no fun which is why its been a ghost town since Factions began. Just delete it so people won't have to bother mapping the joint anymore.

I think someone earlier in the thread suggested something similiar, but why not scale FA/JQ/AB/Challenges like the trader prices scale. If a lot of players are playing the battles then faction rewards are lower. If fewer players are playing then faction rewards rise. If no one is playing faction rewards continue to rise until it attracts many players. Just like material prices do and just like jobs in real life work.
The Luxon Recruiter has lots of workers (players) willing to gather Jade for him then he pays minimum wage to the workers (faction). If he has very few workers willing to do the job then he issues a wage increase until he attracts enough workers.
Ecto works the same way. If no one sold ecto to the trader for a month, you'd see a tremendous price increase.

I've never been able to get into jade quarry to map it. With aspenwood i spent like 2 minutes mapping and the rest of the night meaning to go somewhere else but never quite making it out.

they should just link both aspenwood and quarry together. one minute, you may play jade. the next, you may play fort. but the map rotation should be random, just like your team with jade still retaining the higher faction reward because of its more level playing field.
