Quote:
Henchmen count as party members and thus, claim their share of the party's experience and loot. Loot that gets assigned to henchmen is never shown; they are simply removed instead of visibly dropping. Each henchman has an equal chance of getting a particular piece of loot, as if they are normal players.
That means in a party with 5 other henchmen, I have a 1 in 6 chance to receiving a dropped item, correct? And for any gold picked up, I receive 1/6th of it?

What about when with heroes and no henchmen? Are items split, or do items that drop assign to me 100%? And if so, I receive 100% of any gold picked up?

No, heroes get their fair share, just like hench do.

And they deserve it, too, they work petty hard for it.

Only if they are in your target's Sphere of Influence when the loot drops.

heroes count the same as henchies. and you have 1/6 of a chance to get any loot that would theoretically drop, not every mob drops loot.

Thus the reason for all the solo farming builds. Others try flagging their heroes/henchmen far enough away that the names gray out, thus ensuring that whatever the boss drops will come to them and not the h/h.

This doesn't guarantee a green just that if one drops you will get it not your h/h.

heroes and henchmen both get the same share of (potential) loot that drops as well as their share of the gold that drops.... and here you thought they were following you for the fun of it lol

Heros get drops that they don't let you see.
