And Inde just pwned the OP . I'm still laughing at this. Honestly, if Guru had a keylogger, don't you think nearly every person who uses guru would have been hacked?

Think about something like that. Also, Guru does not automatically link it to Guild Wars Guru. A guru is a smart hermit, usually in India or around there, and usually referred as such in the Eastern Asian religions (mainly Buddhism and Taoism).

So whoever (stupidly) named that keylogger "Guru" was using the real term of the word guru, and not the site name.

Edit: searched my computer for "keylogger" and "guru." Got nothing.

Suppose me and a few guildies wanted to rip off another guildie who stupidly shared his password with one of us. Here's how the aftermath would go down:

i didnt say it came from guru, that just what the file was called i dont know where theygot it from.

and friends giving info to others, im a trusted member and i didnt know any of his info at all til that moment, the only reason he gave it to me is becuz he couldnt log in ,. gave a error message another stance of your account is running. then it would do this over and over. this scared him and we felt there was a hacking going on.

so indie this is the facts
1 he didnt give any account info out before he got hacked
2 gave mne pw and login info becuz he couldnt log in error another instance of account is runnning
3 i signed in kicked hacker off
4he did a search through his computer found the file i mention
5did virus scans
6deleted the file

we dont know where it comes from if you know anything you know this trojins can rename themselfs to hide .
the person who made this logger could have posted on guru a link, and she not a very good hacker and just named it what it was using it for

im working on a key logger myself, and going to record all my events and sending this all is anet somethign needs to be done im sick of hearing i got hacked, i kniow my allince very well been with them 3 years i know there kids they know mine we go on trips together and we are not some 16 old kids that dont know anything.

ther not doing anything wrong none tryto use prgrasm that not allowed we are all very careful but one person got it then 2 then 3 then 4

in the last 4months more and more poeple report being hacked out of all of them please search fopr the file name and see if it comes up that a screen shot post it here.

we need to work together to help each person out, im not making alogger to hack accounts im making it to show every one how it is done and how to prevent it from happening, best defence is knowingyour enemy.

I personally am starting to think your just trying to worm your way out of the pit you put yourself in. Also, as I already said, just because it is named guru doesn't mean that it came from here.

And this last part might be a stupid question, but how did he tell you? if it was at that moment, it had to be rather quick, that is, if the hacker is as fast as I am with moving stuff around. And seeing how the hacker would have been doing this several times, I would assume s/he is.

And for the record, Inde is a she, not a he (or have I been told wrong several times over?). Last note, it might help your side of the story if you type better (it's starting to hurt my eyes to read what you type because it's so grammatically incorrect >.<, and I'm not insulting you, just giving you a suggestion for your personal defense).

I watch pron, i visit shady websites, the whole 9 yards, but in my 10 years of online gaming history ive never ever had an account hacked, or stolen. Why?, because i always keep a copy of the latest AV Software, and Anti-Spyware software running at all times. If you dont then put quite simply you are stupid, and you got what you had coming to you, for failing to protect your assets.

Its like the guy at the mall, who puts a $20 on the table, then turns around to BS with some friends, turns back around and its gone(Imagine that!?!?!?), and blames everyone except for the one person to blame. Himself, for stupidly putting it out there for anyone who so wished to take it.

therangereminem, if you really believe guru gave you a keylogger (believe me, you'd be seeing a LOT more threads if guru really did), stop visiting guru. Plain and simple.
