I've been running this since gwen came out in RA. Basically you can pretty much keep a monk out of play about 85% of the time, it doesn't do huge dmg but it still does some and you have enough variance in how the skills work that something like blind doesn't completely disable you.
[build][coward!][Grapple][Hammer Bash][Crushing Blow][Iron Palm][Irresistible Blow][I meant to do that!][resurrection signet][/build]
attribs
14 hammer
13 strength
rest in deadly arts
Usage is pretty obvious but anyway:
Use Grapple then IMTDT! to gain 4 strikes of adrenaline.
Coward! is now charged, use it if the monk gets up and starts kiting
If they stand and toss up guardian use Irresistible blow
HB + CB meets req for IP to KD
repeat - most monks can't do anything for the majority of the match.
counters:
well timed Returns
energy denial - this is a fairly energy heavy build for a warrior
blind - to a certain extent, though coward/grapple/iron palm are uneffected
anti-melee - see blind
Variant:
Warriors Edurance might work although Grapple will end it, On Yourr Knees would probably be a good choice to swap for IB in this case
You're all Alone!
Bulls Strike but you'll probably need to get Rush on the bar as well.
Different hammer elites
tons of knockdown

Why not just run a Magehunter's with 3 KDs, and maybe put Shock in for a fourth kd...?

shock on hammer war fails, need the energy.
magehunter, and heavy is enough.
Bulls strike should always be in a war build.

I disagree. I never have energy problems on hammer Warriors.
Although I don't often run Shock on anything but axes. 3 KD's is enough but I think this guy wants some sorta super-ultra-awesome knocklock build.

I agree with both of your points, to clairfy this is basically a complete shutdown/knocklock build (until you run out of energy anyway, which you will if you don't watch it). In order for it to work of course you need a team that can provide pressure while the monk is disabled, which is going to be most of the time unless they are able to Return away.

Unless its a very specific build, shock on a hammer isn'f FTW.
Magehunters, hammer bash, and bulls strike is a pretty good way to go.

Nothing but knockdowns is kind of a gimmicky build.
But if that's all you want to do, give this a shot for PvE

Anyway unless I'm wrong about the energy, I'm pretty much with everybody else, Magehunter's+Bull's+Hammer Bash should be more than enough to take out a monk who's down on his ass, plus have the ability to continue attacking.

this one is nice to get a long row of KDs without giving the enemy any chance to stand up for a long time (something like 15 KD in a row) just make sure jou have the stomefis insignia and dont use a knockdown while the enemy is still down.
