Is crafting consets out of salvaged materials profitable?

I have loads of material stacks and will be getting more due to the umpteenth salvage kit that I have used.

Would buying plant fibres from the material trader and using common materials in my bank to buy consets off the npcs in turn be a better investment then selling materials to the trader? Thanks.

Consensus is yes, only if you have the materials to begin with.

Only salvage from materials you farmed.
