how would I go about doing this? I have tried before and the ritualists just overheal my damage.
thank you

The easiest most effective way for me is to 600/Smite with a hero monk in HM. I wouldn't see how 330 farming would be any better/faster. I use Pain Invertor and Scourge Healing on my bar for the pesky lights!

If you do it with 330hp, you have to lure so much that the rits in the group can't keep up with the damage, once you're down to 2 or 3 other mobs next to the rits, lure more or move on.

I haven't had any problems killing them, unless there is more than one. Just spam RoD+VW on yourself and it'll get em.

It is possible to kill one Star Light in a group, but anymore than one will be really hard to kill with original skill set. If you take Pain Inverter and Scourge Healing, you will beable to kill them without many problems... Pain Inverter alone can kill off some Star Lights, but two or more in a group will most likely beable out heal the damage. Of course, it is better to have higher rank with Pain Inverter so you will get longer duration on the hex. Any rank will still do the full damage, but the duration of the hex can make quite the difference in damage.
I used to ignore the Star Lights and kill only the Warriors and Rangers for Celestial weapon drops... once you kill off everything except the star lights, just keep on running to the next group. Killing Star Lights just makes the farm longer either way, and they usually only drop wands/staffs with a low chance of swords/axes/shields/hammers... but then again, I haven't actually targetted Star Lights enough to see the drop rates of weapon drops.
Dualing as 600hp Rt/Mo works great, but farming with a hero can kill drops and bring alot less profit. If you have a friend you don't mind sharing drops with, than dual all you want. Dualing is quicker and safer, but at a cost of course. Soloing works fine, just takes alot of time and practice to get the run down pretty good.

Well I can clear most of the area with a 55hp SS necro. It can easily kill Star Lights, the only thing you have to is try to dodge nightmare weapon, or stand behind walls.
The Star Lights have some special nightwmare weapon AI which seems to have changed lately (they now use it more often on the warriors instead of themselves), but it's still do-able imo.
But yeah, it's a necro build, tbh I can't help you with the ritualist.
