for example [dragon slash] says 'factions' on it but i can also cap it in eotn so why doesnt it say 'factions/eotn' on the actual skill?

Because EotN is an expansion.

EotN is an expansion that, outside of three norn skills, does not have any exclusive elites. Thus, the elites post their "home" campaign, or "core" if they can be found in any of the three base campaigns.

but there are skills that have eotn on it [spotless soul] etc so shouldnt [dragon slash] say factions/eotn to be fair and not mislead ppl.

Just to clarify; [[spotless soul] is an EotN skill that anyone can use, regardless of which chapters they own.

Skills like [[dragon slash] and [[eviscerate] and [[headbutt] are specific to those campaigns - you can only cap them in EotN if you own that particular campaign.

I don't know if Evis and Butthead are cappable in EotN - just an example
