That simple. Please. Some of the things Prince Rurik says should really not be allowed to pass without comment.

And there are often unforseen sequences, where you want to discuss more, not wait until the end of the scene.

Or some (rather rare) situations, where it is absolutly neccesary to skip the sequence, or the whol party would die.

I was thinking that last night. Really I would just be heckeling the cutscene though.

The one mission where you get the horn is funny... I wanted to point out while he is going on and on about the damn thing the charr are coming to kill us

Even more odd is the fact he then leaves the thing behind (BUG!!!!!)

Last night, our main healer was killed during a cutscene (you could actually see her getting hit). Why they let enemies attack you during cutscenes is beyond me - maybe it's just a glitch.

Lol, we finished the Nolani mission and missed one Charr archer apparently; He arrived and fired arrows through the whole scene. Funniest thing, the king standing there talking to Rurik, and arrows whizzing by them hitting one of the guards. And the king even has a line about how they've routed the Charr or something like that while one is standing about 10 feet away shooting folks. Classic

My concern is primarily with having something to do during those long cutscenes, especially if you are playing a mission for the second time (to help someone out, to complete bonus, etc.). They are painful the first time through; they are even more painful the second time through, and there is ALWAYS someone who doesn't want to skip (majority does not rule). There is a lot of of unused black space. Just let us text chat.

Yes, lets waste the dev's time on something as trivial as letting you chat during cutscenes when you could just use Teamspeak and chat all you want!! (bangs head against wall)

My God! You're right! It would probably take hours and hours of sweat and tears on behalf of the developers to not disable chat during cutscenes. It is too cruel a thing to ask, and would surely derail all future plans for Guild Wars.

Not to mention some of us dislike/hate/despise/abhor voice chat and/or their programs.

No, its just a waste of their time and energy. Think about how many issues an MMO dev team has on their plate each week. Each one will take some time and effort even if it is miniscule comparatively in the grand scheme of things. But then I suppose you code games so you would know how easy it is to do these things right?

Also all chars should be invulnerable during a cut scene and mission timers should not count, nothing worse than your party being killed because somebody didnt skip and mobs are attacking you as your watching.

Mordread, I'm curious as to what other things you'd rather the devs work on. I was thinking about this feature myself and I think it's actually fairly good. When playing PUGs and otherwise pve'ing generally I find there's very little opportunity to chat, and I'd rather not stand around in town doing so. Being able to chat during the cutscenes would be great. (also being able to properly autofollow so you can type whilst following someone around would be good too). Anything to promote communication between everyone can only be a good thing in a online game.

Isn't it strange how Prince Rurik's idiocy can unite strangers from totally different worlds?
