I'm experiencing random slowdowns in my pc lately. It has happened a 3rd time and it really seems random, twice it slowed down with Guild Wars and once with Mozilla.

I have a relatively old PC but I tried to make it the best of an old computer.
It has 1gig RAM (the slowwwww DDR1)
7300 GT 512mb AGP :P
2.8ghz P4 single core

I haven't experienced these slowdowns for the past 2 years i've been using this desktop and it is only occurring now. I regularly run CCleaner + AVG8 + Asquared + Powerdefrag/config. Is my pc just dying already? Is God calling my PC already?

oh yeah. btw, my PC almost always runs smoothly, and never stutters or whatever. Its just now that its happening. only other problem I had with this PC was when the videocard was dirty/overheating which made GW crash a few times before. I fixed that already

Hmm..

Looks like you do routine maintenance. Let's see if you're missing anything:

Please register (it's free, don't worry) with PCPitStop and run the full tests here. When the tests are complete, a results page will pop up. Click "Share these results with TechExpress" on the right-hand side. Then copy the URL provided (or just the url of the results page), and post it here for me.

Not the link I was looking for.. That takes me to downloading a plugin for using Firefox with the test.. Did you get to run the full test? Can you see the results page?

Yeah. I ran the full test and I was able to view the results.

I still can't find the TechExpress button.

i even followed the instructions here:
http://forums.pcpitstop.com/html/hel...echexphelp.htm

My screens are different though from those. Do you think its because I ran the OverDrive full test?

Thanks for the screenshot.

The only real issue of concern is the following:

• Reduce System Restore space (Drive C):
Right click My Computer and click Properties. Select the System Restore tab, and move the slider to 3%. You're pretty much wasting disk space otherwise.

Could you take a screenshot of the "System Specs" page please?
