Playing GW on 2 or 3 moniters
Issac
I know its been done before but I tried it not to long ago, I can get it to extend the view of the game to my other 2 monitors but it freezes when it extends it. I used a program called softTH. Anyone know how to get it working so it won't freeze?

When I used a dual monitor setup my Nvidia driver gave me the option to clone the screen, stretch vertical, and stretch horizontal. I could also change the primary screen and secondary. If you have a Nvidia based graphics card then right-click on your desktop and click 'NVIDIA Control Panel' then go to setup multiple monitors.

What I'm actually looking for is it to allow me to play guilds wars on 3 screens, where the resolution is 3800x1024. I don't want it to be a clone image, but a extend view of the game. I have the desktop setup like that but I don't have it setup like to work with guilds wars. I though if there was any other way to get it working, but softTH is not compatible with gws atm.
Here's an example, I want it to show the parts that wouldn't show one 1 monitor.

You realise using a helicopter in Guild Wars is frowned upon?

I don't believe GW can do that at all. It isn't setup or coded for any type of multiple monitor support, and there is not place to add in specific resolutions.
and LOL at Snog's comment.
Sorry Issac. I will look into it a bit more for you, but I am 98% sure you can't do it.

GW does have the option for 2880x900, but you'll need to set the stretch option first. You wont be able to see your character though, he/she will be block off by the boarder of the monitor, unless you have that alienware curve screen prototype. This works on 1 high end card.
As for the option to do that on 3 screens, i have no idea. You'll need 2 powerful gfx cards for certain and that 3 way display adapter (which i forget what it calls). 4320 x 900 in GW would be neat.

Lol that's just an example pic.

Um..I still dont remember the name of that adapter, triple head to go, three way to go or something. I think it's by Matrox, not sure though. Anyway I heard it supports GW, so check it out sorry I can't give you more detail.
My weekend time is for my other half.

Ok one of my goon came back with this list, as of Feb '08 the games that it supporting are:
Quake 4
MS Flight Simulator X
Civilization 4
Brothers in Arms
Age of Empires III
GTR F1
Guild Wars
F.E.A.R.
World of Warcraft
Star Wars Galaxies
Dungeons and Dragons Online
Black & White 2
Unreal Tournament 4
EVE Online
Oblivion: Elder Scrolls IV
X-Plane
The Sims 2
Counter Strike
Half Life 2
There're more games that the adapter support as well, upto 150 games +. Just couldn't get hold of the full list.
Gently caress me! Oblivion does work on it as well. I'll see if I can ask someone who play GW on triplehead to post a screenies. I heard some guy plays the thing on 6 monitors.

This means the field of view on a 30" screen at 2650x1600 is not different than on a 15" at 800x600. I imagine this is to keep PVP fair (though I only play PvE).
Still, I too wanted a bigger screen (to keep all the little menus open). My solution was: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com...c&star t=1022
