Expansions-Vista compatability issues.
Tuberculosis
So I looked on the back of the boxes of both expansions (Factions and Nightfall) to see that they didn't work on vista. Nor did game of the year edition, but I got platinum so that is of little consequence. In fact the only one that DID work on vista was platinum. So I'm wondering- Is it a mistake and the expansions will work on vista, or will I be unable to successfully use any expansions? Help from vista users (or, heck, anybody who knows the answer to my question) would be apreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I have Vista and all 3 campaigns and Eye of the North, and they work fine

Guild Wars predates the release of Vista. The system requirements were written before Vista. GW is compatible with Vista.
The God Machine
I run vista, and have run guildwars in vista for well over a year, the only problem I have I think is more related to graphic processing than vista and it just causes a 5 second blackout every couple days or so when there's a lot going on in the game.
But yes, guildwars is vista compatible, just the engine was created before vista's release and so the games don't list vista.

Thanks. I plan on getting Nightfall soon, so I was really hoping it would work on Vista. XD

They all work fine on Vista. I have an underpowered computer and they run fine.

Chances are pretty good that GW will run better on many systems using Vista Basic or Home than Vista itself does.

Vista Home Premium here. I have had no vista issues. The only issue i've had is with the Nvidia graphics driver bug, but that basically just freezes my game up for 10 seconds, and then everything continues play as normal.

Vista Home premium here too and no problems so far, Its a quad core machine too and no problems with that either.
Nvidia drivers can give problems sometimes using the removal program to completely remove the old drivers and reinstall usually works.
I had to do 2 reinstalls of the latest drivers as I was getting the Blue screen of death.
Installing offline with the virus killer disabled gave me a good result.

I run Vista Home Premium and occasionally my GW will lock up and I have to use Task Manager to end the process. (I'm not using ForceCore though)
Of course, when I was running XP, my GW would lock-up constantly and most of the time I had to reset the computer because Task Manager wouldn't come up. (I had to use ForceCore). So, actually, I'm better off with Vista
P.s. I don't use ForceCore with Vista - I have it set up, but I don't use it - I'm not sure why, maybe it's glitchy. But with Vista and a quad-core, the whole Ctrl-Alt-Del, end task, restart GW process is so quick, and it happens seldom enough, that it's not a problem. (PvE)

They are compatible. Vista 32bit on this rig, zero issues.
