BS Rewards for Post-Game Proph!!!
Ju-On
Could some one please explain to me why all the post-game proph quest eg: Sorrow Furnece and Glint have really crappy rewards? I don't understand the logic behind just giving XP as a reward to players who are already at lvl 20. I mean seriously the drops in this game are already crap, and to bust my ass to complete post-game missions only to get XP points is a total JOKE! So where is the incentive to actually do the post-game proph quests, because I can not for the life of me understand wtf A-Net is thinking!!!!! BUFF rewards you tightwads!!!!!! Even just 500g for doing the Sorrow quests first time around. Something, anything, otherwise whats the point...

There is no point aside from skill points and green drops. Welcome to guildwars, too much work, too little reward.

GW2 is being made right now just for you.

Fun is getting decent rewards so I can afford the next set of armour, mod for wand/focus etc...
If GW2 is anything like GW I'll give it a miss and wait for D3! Now that will be fun...no more waiting for an hour to get a decent pug to finish a mission, getting decent drops that are half useful, an economy where ppl actually buy instead of just sell.

If you define fun by loot rewards your playing the wrong game.
Lyonette
give 'em an itch, they take a mile. what else do u want? for them to come in game and personally escort you thru the quests?
TechnoSword
well didnt back then anet thought people would go from pve to pvp? Maybe the reason all the quests have major exp is so people could get enough skill points to buy skills for pvp?
Random Scrubinator
And this is why we can't have nice things.
There are tons of free MMOs out right now, but few co-op multiplayer games that aren't FPS. Too bad guild wars 2 doesn't seem like one of them

Theoretically, you are suppsed to have fun doing those quests in first place.
If you want reason, it is because back then people thought that:
Giving weapon upgrrades/runes would kill economy for that particular upgrade
Weapon - same thing, would kill market for ordinary weaps.
XP was about only thing you could give away without upseting anything.
Stuff like commendations, lockpicks, both combat and noncombat consumables, title points, reward greens etc, were not invented to be given out when those were designed.

At the time (prophecies only), the titan quests were meant to be for fun and challenge, and Sorrow's Furnace offered the only green weapons, and it was the hardest thing to complete in the game.
There's no longer any incentive to complete these, and ANet aren't going to update them. No point complaining about an outdated quest series and area.

Guild wars is about challenge and skill NOT LOOT, period. Sure they stepped it up some gear wise in the later expansions/campaigns with Duncan in GWEN, and domain of anguish in nightfall. But in the end you don't get anything tha upgrades your character. You will never be given a sword that you can solo Glint with, get over it. If you don't like that kind of game i suggest you move on.. there are plenty of other cliche' MMO's out there targeted right at you.

Look at when they were added.
And look at the game at that point.
It was free additional content that offered a much harder difficulty that we were used to.
Superb addition!
If you don't feel that it's worth doing it - don't do it.
3ish years ago we had insane fun playing there!

just because they made new games with better end game content theres no need to say the rewards are BS. As many people have said already what are you trying to achieve? Ya'know games can be fun
Arduin
Seems you are 3 years late completing those quests. Sorrow's Furnace Greens were the most sought after Greens (because there were no other.)
Still, I like to do one of those quests now and again, just for the fun of it (heaven forbid).
