Ok well, yes this mission is pretty tough, but what makes it even tougher is that every group I have been in there is either: 1. Made of fail 2. Epic Fail etc.
One group I was in, the monk would run off before we were finished with a group of titans and pull another group over. Another group I was in had 3 monks and they couldn't keep one person alive.

So what I'm asking is: Is there anyone else on these forums, who is at least a tiny bit competent, who is also trying to beat this mission? I would really like to get a decent group together, and just beat this game.

Put that quest on a back burner, go to EOTN work on your heroes and come back to it.

H/H most of the 3 campaign in NM and HM and there is always a way to get them done.

And lol at typo in the title. Well Hell's is somewhere around medium with henchmen. I'd advise trying to be extra carefull when pulling, alway flagging the henchmen back, perhaps taking a more offencive team.

If all else fails, try getting 1-2 other people max and finishing with henchmen. That way you have less chances of getting an idiot in the team. Also, talk strategy and check everyone'S build before entering, that can easily reveal if you have found bad players.
Even if you can't find a good player, sometime just having a bad player with PvX hero builds can make you win the mission.

Meet my friends. Their names are Devona, Mhenlo, Aidan, Cynn, Lina, Eve, and Little Thom.

If you fail with this team, at least you'll have no one to blame but yourself.

Oh, and read the wiki.

    lol so bored that you did that? also posting your build helps with sorting out a strat for you mostly PUG's do fail horribly because no-one has a proper build and "leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerooooooooooooooooooooooo oooys" into aggro! finally - wait till you do it in HM - say hello to spark of the titan's [skill]rodgorts invocation[/skill]

Add a Ranger hero to the mix and it becomes pie thankfully.

    i did this mission HM last week, and lucky to have proper PUG. basically u gotta prioritize which one to kill first. as for our group, we went to kill the sparks first since their fire skill can wipe out a party if not careful. then we kill hand and fist of titan if around. then only the big titans.

    also Greater Conflagation + Winter , and Mantra of Frost works great in this mission.

Hell, I'm still wearing undyed 1.5 Drok Pyromancer armor in it

    The wiki links were really the point of my post, though. Proper strategy (do not rush in) and tactics (kills sparks first) have been discussed ad nauseam, so the best thing the OP can do is reap the benefits of all the failures that were suffered before him

    Ok well, I beat it with the help of someone here(forget the name, sorry). Probably if I tried more with henchies I could have done it, but I kept trying with PuGs and especially the monks were pretty bad. It's almost a fact that monks turn into tanks when you get to Hell's Precipice, or it seems that way.

    Just for the benefit of the OP, the Hero and AI sub forum contains some great hero builds which don't cost much to set up. Just something to consider if you have Eye of the North Heroes and want to make good use of them.

I almost always bring that skill when I have to face eles in HM. Another example would be the Terrorweb Dryders in Gate of Pain.

    I just passed Hell's on HM with heros only. I used the discussion page in the official wiki for guide:
    * Ursan
    * MM with Splinter/A Rage
    * 2x SS with Kaolai
    * Earth Hench - i used the Brawler hench instead.
    * Ele hench
    * 2x Monk Hench
    If you are careful, its pretty easy. I failed the first time,because one minion aggroed the patrol near the portals.
    So,the second time i passed HM in 55mins. I'm a mesmer btw,but i had enough heal from the henchies.
