Change Snowball Arena to be Like TA

Everyone knows that Dwayna's side has the advantage with avalanche... which doesn't matter as much when your teams are random and people can blame the noobs on their team but if you make a TA version of it then things get competitive and there will be alot more complaints regarding the unbalance of the game... which I doubt will get fixed since it's been that way for 3 years and every year people have complained and every year anet doesn't listen.

People don't like snowball arena for the reasons the OP mentioned... i.e. serious players getting frustrated of getting into teams with 'noobs' and casual gamers going in for a few kills getting called 'noobs' for not running the present

Snow arena is fine, any actual organising would imbalance it to hell. Its already biased to the grenths anyway.

Fcuk fun, I'm in it for the gamer points. Since these games are worth the most I'd prefer better teams. Tbh you should have foreseen all the "srs bsns" responses because it makes them think they're kewl.

korean dis1, when the huge group starts moving hit enter and pray. if your quick enough (theres about a second between them moving and then going into a game. Your guaranteed gamer points.

But yeah id love a TA style system for both here and for DA. All you people saying its only a game dont understand gamer points are srs business.

If you are doing something that you don't consider to be fun, you may want to rethink why you are playing this game.

In a game where running presents is the key to winning, crippling a.k.a avalanche has the advantage as opposed to removing the cripple a.k.a yellow snow... the time it takes someone to remove cripple allows their opponent to catch up to them, so no it's not balanced.

Snowball arena is a game, and as with all games you have fun in it... and how do you have fun when you're getting frustrated by the noobs you have in your team or getting called a noob by your team? Though I still don't think a TA version is a good idea until they balance it out...

There's nothing to do about getting angry at lesser-skilled players than to stop caring or taking it as seriously. At the same time, that can forefit your chances at gamer points, so it's a decision between whether having a title or being in a good mood.

As far as the balance issue, you're absolutely right on how Avalanche > Yellow Snow. However, a team's skill or gift placement can sometimes be more of a determining factor than your faction. The only kind of change I could think of for Avalanche is to change it from a Cripple to a KD.

That's actually not much better since KDs are sometimes more needed than cripples in this game - especially in close contact present steals. I'd suggest changing yellow snow to something like:

"remove 1 condition. for the next 10 seconds you cannot be crippled"

I think hes a tad slow :/

thats just it, there is no fun in being constantly crippled/dazed/stupid hex interupting you/constantly knocked down. I wouldnt mind daze/stupid hex/KD as much. It's a imba game, anet usually tend to nerf imba things...
