How about GW Unbounded?
VinnyRidira
Allow for levelling above 20 in hardmode - a level for every 5 areas vanquished up to say level 25. Give us a reason to play hard mode or vanquish areas other than the stupid title chase.
ShoGunTheOne
nop, they already have HM titles for people wanting to go HM.

Lol, you don't need to be higher than level 20 to own Hard Mode. With all the PvE and overpowered skills, Hard Mode is a cakewalk.
Tyla
No. I would prefer to stay bound to the original level cap. Completing vanquishes, although boring possesses a reward, and that reward is enough.
Etta
Want to have higher lv cap? Wait for GW2.

The reason to play Hardmode or Vanquish is because of the better loot you'll get in comparison to NM. And to enjoy it, of course.

Even D&D had 'epic levels' from 21 to 40... but... Guild Wars...?
Well, if 'Epic levels' where PvE only and gained by doing certain missions and quests, and each level provided PvE attribute points, and those points could be used for a PvE-only attribute, and that attribute worked for all PvE skills, I could accept that.
Otherwise I see no room for epic levels in GW.

GW got it right the first time by designing the majority of content at the level cap. Keeping the level cap low allows new players to adventure with veterans in earlier zones, as this was designed to be a both a cooperative and competitive RPG.
Higher level caps just end up with everyone grinding to get to that higher level cap and fosters a certain degree of discrimination against players without their character at level 20. It's not uncommon to have a hard time to get a group in a midgame zone if you aren't capped, despite a players real in-game experience and their half-dozen maxed characters.

quite simply, no. Most of us are petitioning against an increased level cap in gw2, I doubt we'd be supporting an idea that wants it in the first gw. Besides, if you increase the levels, hard mode wouldn't be as hard anymore...it would become easier with each extra level you gain.

Mindless grinding should not be rewarded.

I swear to God, if Anet f*cks with the level cap I am going to McVeigh their headquarters. Or at least not buy GW2.

That's why I play D2. Big level caps ftw.
Shayne Hawke
I support higher level caps only if they have no other gameplay bonuses.

Vanquish for the challenge and the reward?

Yet another OP trying to turn GW into what it was specifically designed not to be.

I vanqed for the title, enough reward for me.

Roll on Diablo 3. 3000 hours of GW is enough grind. When will we see anything of GW 2 other that the initial vapourware.

Did it have to be done by Vanquishing? =\
For me, Vanquishing feels like a typical "Deathmatch" in an FPS game - pointless killing with no goal, it's not fun.

Again I ask when will we get more information on GW2 - I stand to be corrected but the last we heard of it was more than a year ago.

And what would be the point of a higher level? More attribute points? More health? More armor? More energy? What would be the use in getting to level 25 instead of level 20?
I don't want anything to mess with the balance of the game more than Anet already has. If you don't intend to make a level 25 character have benefits a level 20 character doesn't have, then why have it? E-peen? Guess what, that is what the titles are for.
If you want to increase the abilities of a character who gets to level 25, then you are throwing the current balance out the window, and it is already in disrepair.
Did you think about this, or do you just want something to make yourself look cool that doesn't get called a title?

Difference is I'm playing against real people of varying skill levels and predictabilty instead of shoddy, predictable AI.

Lets face it, do not complete certain quests because it is to your advantage not to, is really a dumb thing. If doing Blood washes Blood in hard mode avoid fighting anything as much as possible in order to get that done as quickly as possible, is another dumb thing.

WHY WOULD I WANT TO REACH LEVEL 25?
It seems like a different kind of grind for grind's sake. Without any benefit in being a higher level, what is the point in doing it? To have a R/Mo25 Magma Red listed instead of a R/Mo20 Magma Red?
If there is no benefit to being a higher level, why would I care if I got to a higher level, and why would I want to?

Since I don't rush through content and then QQ that there's nothing to do, I'm not overly concerned over when GW2 will hit the streets or what it will be like when it does.
But I'm a good mushroom.

The fun was seeing how fast we could farm Norn faction, but that soon becomes a bore. All I am suggesting is make the grind have some meaning other than just another stupid title.

A. The "reason to grind vanquishing" is the title.
B. If you don't want to grind for the title, don't do it. No one is forcing you to.
C. Guild Wars was never meant to be a game where "hours played > skill". If you make a very high level cap, it throws that entire idea out the window, and if the higher level is just aesthetic and has no extra bonuses, then it's basically another title, but not by name.
D. Ok, you got your D2 character to a high level by playing the game, so have I. D2 is a completely different game from GW, it's not easy to directly correlate the two.
E. Again, if you don't want to grind, then don't do it. Go play GvG or something remotely fun, or find another game, this one's pretty much dead anyway.
F. While there hasn't been much of GW2 in the last year, we sure know a hell of a lot more about it than we did in July 2007, I guarantee it.
