For the last 2 years I've gone without an antivirus and nothing but windows firewall protecting my computer. I'm not even behind a router. In these 2 years, i've never gotten a single virus thanks to this site, which i will now share with all of you:

virusscan.jotti.org.

For files under 10mb, you upload the .exe, .zip, whatever and it will scan it with over 15 different programs, giving back the results. It's great for suspicious files from sites you're not sure about.

I'm just posting this because I noticed there have been a lot of threads about malware recently.

The best free ati virus is Avg For Free version 8.0 I have used nothing but it over the last 4 years now and like it very much.
