Im wondering, I was going for the Protector of Cantha title and I was able to get the 10,000 faction for the Luxons to open up the last mission I needed but now the Kurzicks dont like me anymore.

Whats the trick to appeasing them?

Do you mean the merchants won't trade with you? It's based on your current faction. Press 'H' and check what faction you have more of. Seeing as you have just built up 10k Lux faction, you'll have more Lux faction then kurz, so just spend the Lux on something (make some Jade and sell it I suppose), but keep in mind that doing so will reduce your kurz faction.

So then I could also get and spend Kurzick Faction to reduce Luxon's correct?

all u have to do is make sure that u have more Kurzick faction than Luxon. In otherwords, if u look at ur Faction bars, the Luxon bar says 5000/10,000 and the Kurzick bar says 6000/10,000, then ull be in the favor of the Kurzicks and can use the kurzick merchants again. Its vis versa if u want to have favor with luxons.

Now if ur looking to further the Factions story and you havent done the Kurzick side of it yet, then in order to advance on to the Kurzick mission (Eternal Grove) then ull have to max out the Kurzick faction and talk to Count Zu Heltzer in the kurzick main city, then hell give u a quest to get to Eternal Grove (but make sure the kurzick faction bar is still full when u talk to him).

Yes. That's how it works. Note that trading for amber (req. 1000 kurz faction) will cost you 1000 lux faction, but I think if you donate 5000 kurz faction to your alliance, you lose all the lux faction, regardless of how much it is (not completely sure on this though).

Yea, that's right. If you donate 5k for kurz, you lose 5k luxon. Same goes for scrolls, amber and skills.

If you donate any kurzick faction, be it 1k or 5k, you lose ALL luxon faction. If you're primarily Kurzick, raise your kurzick to 5k and donate it before starting on luxon. Get as little kurzick as possible so you don't waste it. Raise your luxon, get the 10k to get access, then spend it on jade. Now that you have access to luxon areas on that character, you can do whatever you want on the kurzick side. You just can't use the merchants. Takes 30 seconds to map to a kurzick outpost, buy/sell, map back and continue.
