Hello folks.
My son turned me on to the game a year or so ago. I made several characters and ran around doing quests, mostly solo, always casual. I have four characters with the highest level being 11 (2 of those).
It has been about six - eight months since I logged in (except for yesterday) but yesterday I jumped on for something to do and found myself with renewed interest, and came here to get tips on how to progress and what to look for, that kind of thing.
So . . . hello!

Hello and welcome back!
You should have either a primary quest (press "L" by default to look at those) or a mission (press "M" and look for a glowing dot, it will be a shield looking thing). That would be the best place to pick up on the story again.
Anything specific, just let us know!

Prophecies
in "proh" id get to LA can get a run to sanctum cay and do that mission as well as the 3 missions needed in the desert to do the Doppleganger
in factions id get off the noob island and get to kaineng center. There's a lot of 3k XP quest there, i was able to level up my sin in a few hrs when factions 1st came out. There's also a few on the noob island you can do for 3k xp but i feel getting to KC 1st is faster cause you can get max armor etc.
in NF id just stay on primary quest as much as possible.

If you started in Prophecies, then you can get bored easily if you think it's going slow.
Factions is the most fast paced game.
But make a character in NF or Factions (suggesting NF) and find a profession that suits you.
And btw; Welcome back

I made a Dervish before coming to work this a.m. It's been so long since I played, I couldn't recall what all the skills were and how they functioned together, so I figured I'd start from scratch to get back into the groove.
Once I have the system back down (and my head outta my tookus) I'll go back to my old characters and take it from there.
I generally make female characters . . . Not trying to be ladylike, I just don't want to spend hours staring at some hairy-backed dude . . .
But now I ramble. . .
