Away/Do Not Disturb Message

I looked and didnt see anyone suggested this, but I think it would be a great way to show were you are. SO for example if your running someone to droks and you dont want to be disturbed, someone who wants to PM you would do so and it would say "Blah Blah Blah may not answer you back because he is 'running to droks' " What do you think

personally with this request it seems like its getting to the point of TMI....away or dnd seems to some up status as is imo....like if the status is set to away is it absolutly crucial to know where or what they are doing, seriously....Komma Kommander may not reply because he is taking a shit....hows that??

Similar thing was brought up in another thread, where you can find people even when you don't want to be found. I don't like the idea at all. If I want to go on the game and not be disturbed, I don't want people knowing where I am and what I'm doing, making the game more Big Brother. People could keep doing that, getting updates on your global position, stalking you through towns and towns.

With this idea, it is a status message you type in yourself.
Personally, I like the idea, if I need to talk to someone who is listed as "Away", I'd like to know if they are "in a GvG" or "afk 9 rings". It would help to know how long I'd have to wait to talk to them.

There also needs to be something where, if you're set to Do Not Disturb, and you try to pm someone, it should say "User may not be able to reply because your status is set to Do Not Disturb."

another idea from battle.net. I wouldn't like it because most people are pricks and would set it to "Go [email protected] urself you ************************************************** ****************************" I think you can replace the asterisks with anything and it'd still be accurate.

I like it they have it like that on Warcraft 3 and the exspansion(if any of you played it). It was nice because on away the pm's would come through and it might still have a message that would go to the person saying xx may not respond because he is in an epic battle. Same idea for DnD. I loved it because it let people know I was in a game and not just ignoring them.

There's been a few times when I would have loved to be able to have a custom message - always when I've had/bid on an online auction and don't want a buyer/seller to think I'm ignoring them or being difficult if they log in when I'm not able to drop what I'm doing immediately (or am not actually there).
"AFK - Nine Rings" rather than having to set my status to Offline.
"Vanquishing X, may not see/hear messages during a fight" - at least if I miss the message, they have a reason for *why* I'm seeming to ignore them, an indication that I am actually "there", and that a resend of the pm is probably advisable if I don't reply
...(note: I have missed pm's during fights before, but fortunately not for auction-related stuff yet).

"tabbed out/working at my desk" - same idea
"busy" - just a more truthful alternative to the "away" message (i.e. you're busy and not just away)

Are we trying to turn guild wars into a chat session? I'm sorry, but I'm not that popular, actually, my name would'nt mean anything to other people, they would say dragon who? Anyways, it is TMI. Away is fine, I really don't care what you are doing, knowing your not there is fine with me. To implement a full message system would be a waste of time. Maybe in GW 2 (If it was there I personally would not use it, but if you want to go ahead. I'm not here is fine with me).
