Zooming without a scroll button

I recently contacted tech support about this. They say that there is no way to zoom out or in without the use of a scroll button. How could this not be implemented??? It affects all kinds of players. Some new keyboards have built in touchpad mice. Also, a lot of notebook computers don't have scroll buttons. Older mice and non-internet mice don't have scrollers. Also, some people use drawingpads to play.

When I talked to the tech guys about how many this affects, they told me to post in a forum. So here I am, seeing what people think about it. Tell me if you think it should be implemented.

The best places would be on the keyboard, where most people would be forced to go if they didn't have good mice. I know that , and . would work as well as + and -. Perhaps home and end or page down and up.

you can zoom in and out using a right click and drag technique, it just takes a while to readjust

The support guy told me there is "no way" to do it right now, and I tried clicking and dragging, I tried it all, nothing works. I tried it on my buddies laptop a while ago, but didn't really care because I didn't have to deal with it for a prolonged period of time. I still have 2 weeks where I am at, and I can't stand being so close and not being able to see the shit around me.

Lol, get a mouse with a roll ball in the middle, they cost 10-20 dollars.

Good idea, until my mouse broke down, I didn't have a scroll-thingy either!

And the right-click-technique doesn't really work very good.

No, this is a great idea, because there are many people without a scroll button.

You can't play the game without a graphics card either. Get a mouse with a scrollwheel.

I'd like this added too, just one or two key binds. I use a trackball type of mouse (don't laugh, used it competitively too :P)

Its a good idea. Hated it when i used my laptop at school, between classes.

I broke down and bought a mouse on ebay for 5 bucks. Works wonders.
