I'm about to vanquish Tasca's demise and Mineral Springs and I was wondering if having the quest Defend Droknar's Force active would make things easier or harder? Also any other tips for vanquishing these two areas are welcome.

Well from reading wiki there are apparently less foes in Tasca's demise and there are no ice imps in Mineral Springs when the quest is active. Also I believe it states that the titans are hostile to the enemies normally present in those areas.

I'm wondering if the titan groups will actually help me clear the area of hostiles or if the titans are too difficult and it would just be easier to vanquish the areas normally.

In most of the areas involved in the Titan Quests, having the quests active will reduce the number of enemies in the area. Some of the usual mobs will be replaced by relatively powerful Titans tough, so it's up to you and what you consider "easier".

Please mind that Frost Titans behave like the Titans in Hell's Precipice. Killing them will cause more enemies to spawn - a warrior Icy brute and a mesmer Titan's Malice, which in turn will then cause a healer monk Titan's Heart to spawn.

Those Titans are Lv24-28 in Normal Mode and I believe their level and their skillbar is unchanged in Hard Mode, but I might be wrong.

So, you decide. In Tasca's Demise you'd normally face Stone Summit Dwarves, they're pretty easy even in HM.

When I vanquished the Mineral Spring I found that the huge quantity of Ice Imps in the cave was the one and only tricky point of an otherwise quite plain and simple area, so, yes, having the quest active could help there IMO.

Don't have Defend Droks active, i vanquished these areas a week or so ago, and it was a total nightmare.

With all the different forms of the titans and the annoyances of multiple aggros, i'd definatly do it normally without this quest.

easy enough actually - mineral springs: 1h 1min - 1wipe against the imps lol
tascas - simple enough - that well that strips enchantments make sure you have that - it rapes the dolyaks badly...

MM with well of (enchant strip) and warmongers wep
monk with WoH and PS
ele with SH and other nuking skills - maybe aegis?
you with daze or something
hench: monks - and caster /melee as other two - melee with wild blow and mes caster makes a nice team IMO

well tahts what I ran - well as ranger with BHA - just pull carefully and tascas aent too bad...

mineral is pathetic IMO - just pull and kill - only reasonbly hard bit is the imp cave with mass AoE can hurt - but longbow pulling makes it easy

good luck

I cleared both of those areas with the quest active.
The titans do eliminate any avicara that cross their paths, but too often, that just results in multiple Titan Hearts healing the remaining titans.

I can't compare, since I only did it one way, but even though there are fewer enemies, I'd guess it would be easier to clear out a few more imps and tengu.

(BTW, did both areas as an Earth Ele with triple necro heroes/2 monk & 2 War hench)
