I'm sure there is another thread for this but a friend of mine just got the .exe file back on his computer and I am wondering what the shortcut is to make everything load at once.
Also for some reason he says his computer asks for the disc to be use, what do you suggest?
thanks again

If he hasn't got a shortcut to gw.exe on his desktop; make one. Right-click on this shortcut and choose "properties." On the "shortcut" tab, edit the text in the target box as follows:
The actual shortcut may vary depending on exactly where he has stored the Guild Wars files. Note that there is a space between \gw.exe and -image.
Once the process is complete, edit the shortcut again to remove the -image (or leave it there for the next time an -image is necessary)
Code:
Original text: C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\gw.exe Amended text: C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\gw.exe -image
Once the process is complete, edit the shortcut again to remove the -image (or leave it there for the next time an -image is necessary)

Did that it it won't work on my side or his it says it is invalid.
C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe -image."
wouldn't work.
C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe -image."
wouldn't work.

Don't use the dot (.) In the path
Snograt
It will only work if the path is correct. That is the default path, yours may well be different.
It is making the assumption that your Guild Wars is installed on your C drive, in a folder called Guild Wars within the Program Files folder. If it is NOT, then change that path to where it IS.
I'm also assuming that the period and the quote marks at the end were just a typo (.") (Oh god - that looks like a Kirby ><)

I figured it out. The mistake I made was keeping it in the " " instead of outside them. It worked, thanks again.
Etta
Or you can be radical and go to start, run, type in "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\gw.exe" -image, hit enter.
Shortcut is so '80.

Bah, my mistake. I post this advice once or twice a week, and I've never forgotten the quotes before
