Horrible Intense Laggage

DoS = Denyal of service.

Some douche flooding servers with crap data to by a jerk to many people.

Lets think a bit more realistic, it's probably the hot weather causing the trouble, not 12 year old kiddos DDoSing PlayNC servers (servers have a firewall for such things)

A firewall will mainly protect you from DoS, DDoS is more difficult and can even easily bypass most low-grade firewalls. There's theoretically nothing that can be done against a Slashdot effect, which looks from the server side as a DDoS. Let's hope this is not what's happening...

What hot weather btw?

I got insane lag about a hour ago for just about the full hour, at the time I was fighting Mursaat without my armor infused. Ow.

The problem will only get worse if people try to hammer their way into the servers. And it's sad, but that's usually the common reaction. Can't connect? Want to connect, will connect! This makes the server load worse than it is, thus making resolution of the problem more difficult, thus making players more angry and wanting more to connect. Until they rage and claim they'll uninstall the game or whatever trolling attempt.

Be patient guys, if you want to see the mat so badly, just stop playing GW for a few mins/1 hour. Do something RL or play another game. (I'm going back to Trackmania Nations Forever or there's always GWG )

Im currently in Aussieland so no GW for me (prep for Rothan Spam guru! :E) i have however just phoned a m8 and he can not log in ... he lives in Perth is this just a euro thing or worldwide or just another crappy aussie connection?:P

I was expriencing this disconnects and reconnects and lag I just decided to log out do something else.
